unsurprisingly, the economic implications of brexit are worsening. A number of business' are giving up trading in europe.

If your paper-thin margin is wiped out by having to employ extra staff to the paperwork, and your goods perish in the queue at the border then you are pretty much obligated to bin the idea off. It's not realistic to expect businesses to sell goods at a loss all the time.
