REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

I prefer to vote for my MP to sit in my countrys' government and to govern my country. I have no problem with a trade agreement with whoever, provided that we benefit from it.

You can do that with your local MP, who is a completely different person to your MEP, the clues in the E in the middle of MEP that stands for European, they have separate elections campaigning on different things

Just admit that you’ve been taken in by the Tory/UKIP propaganda BS and didn’t understand that the European Parliament was an elected body and the European army was another load of their propaganda BS

The thing is that to carry on benefiting from European membership, the club had to get bigger to allow for lesser nations to come in, build up their economies on grants from the EU so that the members can sell all of their products into the emerging EU markets. To control all of that takes increased co-operations, rules and political frameworks. Hence the need for contributions, free movement and an EU Parliament.

We're clearly never going to agree on this. My preference is to remain an independent country and make our own laws etc and to co-operate and join in on defence, trade et al with other countries.
You do realise that all of that is the job of our own Parliament and always has been?

shame the tories don’t give a shit about us

What independence did we lose from being in the eu ? (although It’s a good job we can control our borders now that we’ve left 😉. ) Being worse off economically is a bonus for us all too.

What? We aren’t worse off now?

We did all that while in the big bad EU

All the rules the EU forces on us that we can now change, like er....erm..... Hang on, someone will think of one soon

First time I’ve had the chance to have a disagreement with Nigel Farage so it isn’t all bad
