You know it's basically the same deal that May had provisionally set up. That Johnson then resigned over. Then made it slightly worse 18 months later and signed it.

No, I don’t think either Germany or the Eu lied - it’s just that whilst germany theoretically COULD have got their own vaccines outside of the EU procurement, their strategic decision is to be part of all major EU strategic procurement and therefore practically COULD NOT.

Why is it entertaining? We're worse off for no reason and a lot of us are not happy about it, as there is no upside to it whatsoever. I don't see how anyone would find that a form of entertainment.

I got out early, used to work for a French company importing to the U.K, saw the writing on the wall and left in 2018.

Currently contemplating a job offer from a US company formerly based in London but who have just moved their European to Amsterdam

It's an incredibly stupid idea, incredibly badly executed. None of this being surprising of course.

it was going to be the reaction of an element of the losing side regardless of what actually happened, so rather than throwing a strop back, I find it interesting and entertaining- rather like reading the guardians worst paddies....
