REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

They have on HMS Queen Elizabeth,but I think the flight deck training is ongoing,I do know they were doing night landings in the North Sea about three weeks ago.
HMS prince of Wales is still on sea trials and isn't a naval ship yet,it's not been signed over from BAE systems
 
They're coming after our Agrifood industry. Who'd have thought?
 
There's a simple answer - don't buy it & the shops stocking it will soon stop

Get most of my meat from the local butcher who would never take this - all of his stuff comes from withn 30 miles of here.
 
Christ that's naive Parkin. People will buy what's cheapest, supermarkets cater from that demand. Millions of families can't afford to use the local butcher
 
It isn't just the supermarket butcher aisles, it's the whole supply chain. Ready meals, snacks, restaurants, takeaways, sandwiches, etc.

Then there's the hormone fed beef.... The market place becomes an unlevel field, so for our industry to compete we have to drop our animal welfare regulations.

I'm fortunate to be able to use an independent butcher who locally sources. Not everybody has that option.

Not naive - & I know that many will not have the resources to go other than the lowest common denominator. Those of us who can shouldn't be which will reduce the sales volume anyway.

Jamie Oliver did a post on Facebook about agricultural standards being sacrificed for a US trade deal last week, and it was the first time I'd ever seen anything critical of Brexit being shared in my extended family's whatsapp group. Not explicitly critical, either - just a kind of "wait, is this true?" worried disbelief, that only grew when they realised that, yes, things are going to get a lot worse now there's nothing to stop things getting worse.

Considering how much disbelief most of my relatives have long had when it comes to the idea that anyone could have possibly been against Brexit, this - and it's only anecdotal of course, but still - goes with a general feeling I've been getting that the public might not be as happy about no deal at the end of the year as the Tories expect, let alone the cost of avoiding it through "swashbuckling free trade deals"...
 
I find this hard to believe. Farage was a racist from an early age. A letter from a school master

Farage's long-standing fascist sympathies - including this letter - have been public knowledge for years, and he continues to socialise on the international far-right politics and business circuit to this day. Except that, of course, the people pointing it out weren't also being given a slot on Question Time every week, or a weekly show on LBC, or asked for their opinions on political issues of the day for the sake of getting the "other side", or... (it goes on).

UKIP were incredibly successful at mainstreaming far-right positions, and especially at becoming the fourth party of British politics (not including the SNP), by continuing the laundering of "legitimate concerns" over immigration that the BNP had some successes with under Nick Griffin and forcing the Conservatives and Labour to continually move right on social and ethnic diversity issues in response. That million votes the BNP got in 2009 didn't disappear, they just transferred neatly across to UKIP by 2014.

I hope I never see him again for as long as he or I live. Incomprehensible that an actual racist has been readily given so much airtime.

I see Nige is back out and after free cash, Relaunching the Brexit Party even though it is clear as day we are crashing out No Deal stylee at the end of year. Must need an instant boost of PayPal transactions from Membership fees (Non refundable)
