REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

DUP confirm they won't vote for the deal. Presume the ERG will as they all love bojo. Further presume the 21 expelled will to get back the whip. Where does it leave the arithmetic?

Without the DUP he is short. Even if idiots like Hoey vote with him.

I see JRM has been telling the house that this is the “tournedos Rossini” of deals. I can only assume he doesn’t like that dish very much then as the deal seems worse than the one he was happily tearing to bits a couple of months ago.

Gove:

There will be no second referendum. It ain’t happening, no way

We will be leaving on 31 October no matter what the Benn Act says.

They are doubling down on this to try and railroad the DUP into supporting them. And appear blind to both the parliamentary arithmetic and the clear text of the Benn Act. It’s like Comical Ali with the tanks in the background.

I don't think anybody will railroad the DUP into anything. The best Boris can hope for is that they abstain.
It's Labour and Liberals who are most afraid of a No Deal.

Government confirms Saturday sitting will include votes on this deal and on no deal, but will not include anything on extension or revocation or indeed a public vote.

Railroad. Bunch of fucking wankers.

Presume someone will put forward amendments though

I'd have thought that if there were to be a second referendum, the options should be 'The deal', 'remain' and leave with 'no deal'?
Doubt it will matter anyway as I don't think it will happen.

I don't think it will happen either but you would have to have a two part referendum otherwise you'd get complaints of it splitting the leave vote.

Firstly, remain or leave then specifiy if you would want to leave with or without the deal.

It's how Cameron should have done the referendum in the first place (well, the hamfaced pig fucker shouldn't have held any referendum at all but that's a different point...)

No, you don't confuse people.

This deal (shit on a stick) or Remain.

That is it.

The House is holding a vote now on whether Saturdays debate should be longer and have the right to put amendments in.

Funny feeling this amendment will pass with flying colours.

I say just use this as all Remain propaganda in future.

Do you want to be on the same side as this?

Juncker says there will be no extension. Hmmm - obviously de Pfeffel has had a word in his ear.

Said they have an agreement so why should there be a delay. Also, not his call if an extension is granted or not

We'll getan extension if they believe remain is an option. Someone needs to ask for it though

An amendment to the deal on the table voted for on Saturday that gets a this deal / revoke article 50 referendum should do it.

Brexit just gets stranger which each passing day

Here, Nige defends a bill he hates and thinks is undemocratic.

So an unelected, retiring bureaucrat says: No extension, take this new treaty or just leave.

He is overriding the Benn Act. The EU shows itself to be a thuggocracy - power without accountability.

Appalling people.

Lest it be forgotten that he leads a political "party" that is actually a limited company, where there is no accountability to the great Führer.

Even taking that into account, the idea that Farage is in favour of the Benn Act suddenly is just fucking bizarre.
