REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Do you genuinely think that all borders will magically ckose overnight? Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, none of them are in the EU there are no shortages. Ireland isnt in Britain, do you think a wall will be build overnight to stop people from crossing through North Ireland? Mail stops, planes stop, the lot?
I honestly dont understand what you think will happen, physically and border wise in a worst case scenario.
 
As above. Pretty much no legal drugs enter the UK via NI (Calais being in France and that)
 
Again, Ireland has legal drugs. All of Europe has legal drugs. British people wont be stopped at the border by the gestapo
 
There is hardly any trade to the island of Great Britain through the Northern Ireland border. Virtually everything comes in through the channel ports.

And if people aren't expected to die, perhaps you can explain OUR OWN DELIGHTFUL GOVERNMENT ordering extra stockpiles of body bags?

This is a self-inflicted wound in the referendum. Salt has then been driven into it by the votes of around 100,000 members of the Conservative Party in a vote on which none of the rest of the country gets a say.

If no deal does happen I can see myself investigating fucking off to Oz.

This has come from a document from those in charge of this fiasco. A document so damaging they wanted it suppressed. But you know best of course.

Of course the borders wont close but the procedures to cross them change and this is what will cause the issues.
Not that long ago out Government paid lorries to create a traffic jam to see how we would cope with the backlog a no deal would cause at our Borders. They did it once, it was shit.
So delays of lorries carrying certain items cannot be delayed for a day or 2 (this is predicted as a possible outcome) will cause problems for months.

My Father in Law has already been warned the drugs that keep him alive are highly likely to run short. So anyone having dialysis in the UK is facing a huge risk. Feel free to pop over and remove the stress and fear for those people.
 
Europe will never allow the situation you are describing, regardless of what lunacy your own government has planned. Again, I feel like you are latching on these doomsday scenarios that will never happen.
In regards to chronically sick people, they can travel to Ireland or somewhere else and get treatment, if its a matter of life and death.
Just as a comparison, life saving procedures (chemo, major surgery, transplants) in Bulgaria are so fucking shit that everyone saves/begs money and travels to Turkey or Israel or Germany to have them done. Every day, tv, newspaper, facebook ads bombarding us with campaigns for money for kids who need donations for something. And these are children whos parents have been paying taxes and health benefits their whole lives.

Europe wont be able to help if we walk away. We get a deal they can.

It's not latching on, it's real life and the things written in the Government docs are not made up fantasy. For starters why would a PM hell bent on leaving without a deal want this info hiding? If he was a remainer this would have been released with added horror instead it's been forced upon him and they are still hiding stuff
 
To add to this. The Yellowhammer documents were changed before being released.

On the released version it is marked as Reasonable Worst Case Scenario, however they forgot they had previously sent the documents to the Scottish and Welsh Governments that is headlined Base Scenario. Why woud they change the expected scenarios when releasing it to the public?
 
I feel we are going to be ok,our man in Bulgaria,knows how all this stuff works,has all the solutions,even better than the people running the EU and our own country,let's organise a parade and carry him shoulder high through the streets,and proclaim our new saviour!

He's not a troll, he's an arrogant idiot who feels he knows more about what is going on over here than those who live here and are close to the day to day.

Add to that some weird desire for vengeance over perceived mistreatment of people from his country who willingly chose to come and live here and slap on a jealousy of basic living standards and salaries over here versus over there and you get to where his starting point is. It's pointless engaging though because what he says is either irrational or ill informed.
 
I have direct family working in England, rely on expats as clients for my business here and most of my life savings are in pounds. I would be just as fucked as you financially in a doomsday scenario Tony, take a fucking chill pill.

Everything I read of his on any thread looks like WUM behaviour. He has clearly chosen this thread to post inflammatory remarks to invoke a reaction.

It's troll behaviour at its finest.
 
Is that because remainers are drinking in pubs that tend not to have purple faced,fat,bald,tattooed,pissed at 10am bigoted idiots in them or is it something else?
 
His political stance is but one of a multitude of reasons why I wouldn’t spend my money in his shit pub chain. Shite atmosphere, crap service and wait times that would put US passport control to shame are rather higher on the list.
