Basically fuel exports will become uncompetitive and this will lead to the closure of two refineries with the loss of 2000 jobs and significant disruption to fuel supply during inevitable strike action that will occur at those refineries. There's not too much in there I disagree with, although I would point out that those from Eastern Europe came here by freedom of choice presumably because it provided better opportunity.

However, as per usual you are changing the goalposts. You said "I'm secretly hoping for a hard brexit and the absolute shambles that would cause for the few months until UK realises how fucked they are and came crawling back to the EU...".

That scenario would involve 100's maybe thousands of people dieing due to lack of food and medication, caused by hyper inflation and mass unemployment. If that's what you not so secretly wish for then fuck you

I'd have thought Yellowhammer would put paid to most peoples objections. Having read the document I'm not sure any government would be allowed to exit the EU under a no deal as it puts the population deliberately at harm and I'm not sure the courts would allow that to happen if challenged.

I think TP is referring to a Black Swan event which is what Brexit is.

Not even the Tories would take us out under no deal as they'd get lynched and nobody wants riots on the streets. Although Robert Mugabe's spirit hasn't wasted any time by possessing this tool.

Too much damage has been done now - it doesn't matter what is released into the public domain, people who want to leave no matter what simply won't believe it.

I don't think there's any chance of a deal being reached which would satisfy anything other than a tiny minority of MPs or the public. Those who voted remain want A50 revoked (myself included) which would cause all sorts of issues, those who still adamantly want to leave want to leave with no deal. There's very little middle ground - a 2nd vote is probably the most realistic compromise, and that's not going to wash with either of the extreme views - and no matter what happens, there's going to be repercussions.

You've got to hand it to the government - to fuck things up quite this badly is no mean feat.

Its not a zombie apocalypse scenario Tony, the only thing that will happen is major investors leaving (which has started already, has there been a hyperinflation?), the pound going down 20-30% for a few months, property values in major cities going down and so on. After a month or so, your boomers realize what a mess they've voted for, and go back to europe with their tail between their legs. As comparison, the average monthly wage in Bulgaria is around 300 pounds, the average pension is a bit over 100 pounds. We dont have free medicine or heating for pensioners/disabled, what do you think happens to those who dont have relative working outside? They die Tony. Maybe this can be a wake up call for you.
