nail on head. you can't. there is no objective assessment from people who are essentially indoctrinated. Tusk could say the nicest things and he'd still get slated. politics has always been tribal and we're going through a fairly shit.ty period of it just now

Corbyn has written to Theresa May and stated that he will support her Brexit deal if the following 5 legally binding commitments are made.

A “permanent and comprehensive UK-wide customs union”, including a say in future trade deals.
Close alignment with the single market, underpinned by “shared institutions”.
“Dynamic alignment on rights and protections”, so that UK standards do not fall behind those of the EU.
Clear commitments on future UK participation in EU agencies and funding programmes.
Unambiguous agreements on future security arrangements, such as use of the European arrest warrant.

Aye, we called it last year on the way to Hamburg if you remember. See also, getting dumped in the non-EU queue when you're arriving/departing, absolutely everything costing silly money in Europe if the pound tanks even further, fewer available flights, etc etc.

As for food/medicine shortages, they won't believe it until it actually happens (probably will in the event of No Deal, if there's some form of a WA then it won't). You can explain all the logistics to them you like regarding shipping, the M20 becoming permanent gridlock, the impact on JIT setups (even a delay of a few minutes fucks everything), default customs legislation if we are no longer part of the EU and have no trade agreement, but they won't have it at this stage. #ProjectFear innit. So there's no point even raising that, it's the trivial everyday stuff. Although even then, they're probably thinking the EU are withdrawing it from us ruddy bloody brave Brits as a punishment rather than it being "erm, this is our deal for our club and you're leaving our club of your own accord...so we can't let you have it, by definition".
