Sunderland result...leave big win

That Sunderland leave vote is a big margin. Definitely getting worried.

Fucking disaster for the £. God if we do leave it's going to be carnage for the economy.

Sterling taking a battering on the financial markets.

The pound has dropped like a stone. So early in the results being announced, is that significant?

Pound down enormously in about ten minutes. Shit. This looks really really bad.

Hugely. The City has set up positions based on remain and they are desperately trying to undo them.

It also shows that the City has no confidence in future trade after Brexit.

I mentioned yesterday but if anyone was undecided yet thinking OUT then Junkers
threat ( and it came across as such) would have swayed them I think.
Too many threats about leaving and not enough encouragement to stay.

If we do vote to leave then the stock market is going to get absolutely destroyed tomorrow. FTSE could easily be 10% lower. Bye bye pension 😞

Genuine Facebook comment just now from a friend who voted 'Leave':

"Why is the pound dropping?"
"Trade will suffer in the event of Brexit - hugely so in the short term."
"I wasn't aware that would happen. What's our trade got to do with the EU?"

I think I need to turn off social media.

Coleshill expected to vote strongly in favour of leaving. And so is Hartlepool. Still early days, but encouraging news.

Is anyone else in the same predicament as me - I really should go to bed but I can't!!

If you think the economic disaster that is round the corner is encouraging, then I think you may not have thought the consequences of Brexit through fully.

Yup! 9 am conference call with the French... Who have driven me nuts all day about this.
