My mate's dad has shared this on Facebook.

Where the fuck do you even begin with that? When you have people who are happy to share this bullshit on social media, it's so depressing. I somewhat doubt that the kind of person who posts this is going to think rationally about the pros and cons of no deal v no Brexit.

He wants his country back, you see.

He can have his country back, except we defeated it in 1945.

If he wants "his country back" where immigration essentially doesn't exist, then I assume he's around 190 years old?

He's older than that, got to be around 6000 years old, that's about when immigration started,or thereabouts.hes going to have to give up coffee, some maths and possibly computers because a Muslim discovered coffee, algebra and algorithms (the clues in the Al bit).
He's also going to have to give up curries, and fish and chips all due to those being bought in by immigrants, and that's just off the top of my head not googling,or you could do what tredman said

Being in Amsterdam airport on a Friday night really explains why most Europeans are not overly bothered we are leaving.

Would it matter? Dicks will still be dicks!

My flight to Porto last week had about 15 Polish lads on the plane. Hadn't booked their seats (RyanAir), virtually bullied passengers into letting them sit together for the flight and then smashed JD after JD while being loud and obnoxious! Dicks will be dicks

Yup, but when flight prices increase and they are the length of non-EU passport queue they might change their mind about 'getting stoned in the Dam'

Gove's comments today are quite telling

He clearly thinks the vote will be lost. But still is supporting it and pushing the party line. That in itself makes a lot of sense if he is eyeing the big prize of the top job. But he then has said he thinks there will be a majority of MPs pushing for a second referendum even if labour can't push through a vote of no confidence after May loses the deal vote. Interesting times.

God knows what the next five or six weeks will bring.

Bercow has allowed a debate on whether the denial of the legal advice to parliament is a contempt.

Ouch. That is a right slap on the chops, and also the debate will slow the five day debate before the t-bag deal is fucked off to oblivion.

Whether his decision is right or wrong always consider that Bercow will do what suits him & slaps the Tories around the face - this is not to do with the legality, but can I make myself look important

Don't think Bercow has a choice really. The reality is parliament passed a motion that the advice must be published in full. the question is whether that motion was appropriate. certainly it is being used by remainers and hard line brexiteers to challenge the current deal.

It's Parliament taking back control, isn't it? They voted unanimously that the opinion be published and feel it's not right that the attorney general can take it upon himself to block the will of Parliament, even if it's in what he considers to be the public interest. He's admitted himself that he could well be found in contempt so it's not like he didn't know what he was doing.

Some irony in the party that have taken us down this damaging road to be trying the public interest defence.

They are all a shower.
