REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Obviously never been in the audience at a chubby brown Gig

Siding with that cunt doesn't make your humour acceptable. If you had said it about my wife we would be having words (after she ripped your arms off and beat you half to death with the soggy, bloody stumps)

Seriously? TT set himself up. And it was obvious that my reply was completely tongue in cheek.

Finally never threaten me again unless you would like to box me for charity. Then I am happy to accommodate you.

As a mod you need to watch your tone.

That would be the worst fight in history. Just behind George vs Bungle in the famous Rainbow battle of 1985.

Actually I was at a charity dinner where he did a set, aside from him being booed off, I would say the worst part was when he took the piss out of Ellie Simmonds, who was also in the audience.

Just fuck off.

I mean it fuck off.

Dickhead - I refer you to TUBERVILLE V SAVAGE. I said IF you had referred to my wife that way...

EXACTLY the same as "IF it were assizes day, I would run you through"

after she had done something with bloody stumps. Seemed like a direct threat to have my arms ripped after you had words.

Stop with the unnecessary outrage. You're a cloth bear with a name badge and I am made of titanium. And this is the internet. Don't act such a twit

You were wrong. I made a comment and now you are deflecting.

DON'T WORRY THOUGH.

I will never ever EVER interact with you on here again as long as there is a hole in my arse.

Bet you will .............. Resistance is futile

Right

Purdah ends when the polls shut in twenty minutes. We won't re-open the old thread as there is so much circular bitchiness on there. This is the new place for your referendum discussion. Please bear in mind this is your "after-result" discussion so please don't dredge up the old arguments.

And play nicely. This thread will be watched and misbehaviour from posters on either side of whatever the result turns out to be will be looked upon gravely.

Mmmmm.

This thread is going the same way that the earlier one did before it was closed off - none of it is helpful.

Those who believe that we will be into a second vote should consider whether that actually improves the situation - it may go remain then, but that will not change the divisive nature of the political debate within the country as would not expect it to be any bigger a win than it was the first time around. Only 1 - 1 then so do we then go for a final decider or a penalty shoot out?

Think that most consider that a No Deal option is not one anyone should want to take apart from certain idiots in the Tory party (& that goes for the EU as well as us).

Extending A50 doesn't as the Commission has said that this is the best on offer so delaying doesn't improve things. The only option (& there are bits I don't particularly like) is to accept the deal as set & then move on. It at least gets us part of the way & allows other negotiation to go on.

Yes a second vote improves the situation. The EU parliament would be insane not to let the UK back in as that would open the door for all of their opponents to barrel through that same door. Italy, Greece and Denmark would be through in a matter of months.

The bit you are missing Parkin is remainers now, probably for the first time in 2.5 years see a genuine path to not leaving. If they and include myself in this were pushed into a choice of May's deal or no deal then we'd choose the former, however as time goes on there is an increasing chance of staying in the EU and while that reality exists there is no chance of us supporting what's on the table.

To be frank if there were another vote and hypothetically the vote went 52/48 the other way, I think you'd get short term civil disobedience and then moaning from the same people who have being moaning for the last 30 years. A price worth paying.

Especially when most of them will be shuffling off the mortal coil shortly.

As I've said a number of times, rabid opposition to the EU has always been an extremely niche interest.

That it was allowed to be wrapped up into the frustration of 40+ years of successive governments not giving a toss about various communities is fairly shameful.

The EU is not the problem and never has been. The likes of Dan Hannan and Cyber might wail about them forcing us to take the Euro and sticking a Belgian policeman down in Bognor Regis, but this is not the real world.

I've always thought there was something otherworldly about the name Bognor. That's one thing settled, at least, then.
