REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

For your one , specific dairy example it isnt. But we don't just trade in dairy do we?
FFS. Are you being deliberately obtuse? Forget the specific example and please demonstrate to me the benefits to the UK defaulting to WTO.

you picked dairy. The highest of all 20 tariff categories. Many are less than 5%. Sure we can even choose 0% on our imports . Yes we will be able to negotiate our own agreements and we would. There would be 're adjustments rather than an apocalypse though.

Forget dairy it was an example as you well know and stop using it to bluster.

Tell me the advantages to the UK deferring to WTO.

We actually pay 8.6 billion. It's not a free club. So there will be some balance with trade.

The advantages switching to WTO being?

We have no choice if we are outside the EU do we!

But it's hardly the apocalyptic meltdown you and other remainers are predicting based on what you have published on here.

What will Wolves do if or when Neves is sold? Buy someone else and move on. That's what we will do post Brexit. Sure, there will be a year or two of adjustment but then it will fall into place as people learn how to make money under the new rules. Guess what! That's reality. Dairy farmers may be worse off? Or they may sell more to UK markets. We all like a bit of butter! You and others make out that the world will end if we leave the EU. Here is some news. It won't. The pound will drop, stabilise , rise. Trade will happen with other countries. Trade deals will be struck. Come back and pillory me when it doesn't happen. Until then it's pointless arguing as we sit in opposing camps and honestly believe that we are right.

You do know that it takes two parties to make an agreement? And we can either have a deal with the US or China. Not both. The Donald has stated this outright and categorically.

Donald Trump changes his mind three times a minute. Let's see what he does when it's not hypothetical

Forget the BS. I haven't predicted anything apocalyptic btw. Tell me what the advantages of WTO is to the UK.

In comparison to what? EU that we can't have or WTO that we revert to? You and I do not know the advantages of disadvantages until it happens and gets tested. But you know that. It's easier to keep asking a question that's impossible to answer. I just don't think WTO rules are a disaster. You do. It happens. Call me in 5 years with a definitive

I know what we have now and that's infinitely better than your tea-leaf readings. I should know better than trying to engage with you as there is sod all substance to any of your bend with the wind stance. I will leave it here and bid you farewell. I have no appetite to converse with you in the next 5 minutes, nevermind years.

God you're close to insufferable. Martyr mode engaged . See you in a post EU utopia then lol

And Leeds it's not personal. I just see it differently. I would still buy you a beer that you would refuse lol

One of my staunch anti EU Welsh ex workmates has seen the light after realising for every £1 paid in to the EU Wales gets £70 back, and he's realised Wales is pretty much shafted because the government won't be giving them anywhere near that come March, and a lot of farms stand a pretty good chance of going under because a lot of income is due to EU grants, but having blue passports and the brexit 50p piece will be a comfort to them in the years to come
