REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

That's not the rules any longer, it changed when Parliament's went to fixed term. The Government now has 2 weeks to gain the support of Parliament after the vote.

Labour wouldn't be able to get a majority in the house. Despite their upset with their current partners the DUP won't vote with Labour.

So the government gets Parliament to vote again and possibly change their minds. What happened to the will of the commons?

If they lose a no confidence then the fixed term parliament act won't apply. Absolutely no chance. They'll resign.

Unless a confidence vote is passed within 14 days.

So the DUP could put May on notice by voting no confidence, extract concessions, then fix things. And let's face it... Why wouldn't they?

What concession are they going to get that T-Bag can then get through the EU though?

Dunno. All I know is that the DUP hate Corbyn even more than I hate him.

And I *really* hate the fucker.

Wait., what! I thought you were Jezzers biggest fan? How have you hidden the truth from the forum

God that deal doesn't look good! I may have missed something!
It's akin to remaining but not having any says and giving the EU 40 billion for the privilege .2years while we continue to negotiate. It looks more like a roadmap than a binding deal.

Reckon it's doomed. Better no deal than a shi t deal?

No, a shit deal is better than no deal. Not leaving at all is significantly better than both

No, any deal is better than remain. Hopefully it might start a domino effect.

The payment now is merely for agreed contractual elements that we were party to before we voted to leave & is not really of relevance.

No one was going to be happy with everything in any leave agreement (either us or any of the other 27) same as any divorce really - this does at least move us closer to a permanent new relationship & gives a framework for the next steps.

No deal is a nonsense for either side. Not really going to applaud May, but if this is the best we can achieve then we need to accept it for now then carry on negotiating

Not sure. Always thought a deal was a must. But seeing this makes me think fuck em. 130 countries work within wto rules. Let's make it 131. hold our nerve. I am all for a deal that works for the uk. This just doesnt.

Except a number of countries have already objected to us entering WTO on the same grounds as we currently have them as an EU member so even that needs to be negotiated.

I would really appreciate one of the world trade exponents to talk about how it would work. I've supplied goods under WTO rules and it was a complete cluster fuck, took well over 6 months to get from UK to customer.

I'd love cyber or one of the other experts to explain how these WTO rules are gonna be easier in EU tho.

It’s not even certain that we can default to WTO rules when we leave according to the head of the WTO. We could end up in some sort of no mans land while other countries look to take advantage of us.

Still, I would *really* like one of the Brexit WTO experts to explain how their WTO vision would work. I'm really looking forward to them sharing their knowledge, understanding and experience.

The WTO deal is as far as I can gather from brexiteers is,we turn up at the doors of the WTO,they say hello United Kingdom, here's some fantastic deals, off you go,every country agrees with what we say because we are the UK and everyone wants to buy our cars, banking services and everything else we make right now
