REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Well - BoJo and Rees-Mogg have said they are voting against. IDS thinks it will bring the government down, Sturgeon says it is unacceptable and another option rather than this or no deal must be put on the table, the DUP says it is constitutionally unacceptable and a red line that cannot be crossed.

Meanwhile Jezferatu says he will read it and make a decision on the labour stance in a bit. For fuck's sake. COME OUT AGAINST IT.

Basically, if Corbyn does what he needs to do (he'd fucking better do), then the whole deal collapses as there is no way on earth it will get through Parliament. Excellent work by T-Bag.

It's got to pass Labour's six tests and it won't.

Absolute cunts like Hoey and Stringer will vote in favour but they won't be enough.

If it doesn't pass parliament then surely extended article 50 is the minimum next step. Realistically, new referendum HAS to be on the table.

It goes down the No Deal route. Never going to do the "Peoples Vote". A General Election will do nothing as we are either left with Tories doing what they are doing now or Labour copying them. They bin May and we get given a Rees-Mogg, no GE and a no deal Brexit is confirmed.

Given up on anything sensible happening now.

Vote with a bullet, I say.

(not actually serious, as what you say on the interwebs can bite)

I am so sorry about all this. Truly.

Both the UK and the EU will be lesser than they are now.

Can't really say much more, my views are very, very pro-EU.

Hoey stated earlier (before a deal was announced) that she will vote against as she's not happy with the NI solution.

But go to the dark side and there are plenty of Brexiteer posters saying this is all just project fear. What happens I guess when a vote was so close and they are convinced that everything will be better.

When they start complaining as it all goes to hell in a handcart my sympathy banks will be somewhat less than full. Especially as I will be getting fucked up the arse at the same time.

Don't be. We have too many thickos, racists and xenophobes in this country to deserve your sympathy

Which is what I've been saying for the last 2 years. This thread with a couple of exceptions is an echo chamber - correct, but an echo chamber nonetheless. In the vast majority of instances those that voted to leave still would for the same bigoted/or ill educated/ideologically misguided reasons they did previously.

Listening to Johnson and that utter slug Rees-Mogg over the past 24 hours makes me want to fucking puke.

I also saw this and found it funny so I thought I'd share it.

Bojo and Rees-Mogg are going to help bring this deal down, and probably the government with it.

Then we can all hope that Jezferatu stands on Labour committing to a second referendum.

There is no chance on earth that this deal is getting through parliament. It is getting trashed from all sides.

There may as well be a straight vote in parliament, No Deal or extend the leave date. Nothing else will ever get through.

The only other thing that might get through is an agreement to put it to the public in a simple a) take this deal, b) take hard no-deal Brexit or c) stay in completely choice.

At least the referendum would then be an informed choice, because this shit is nothing like what was advertised to those that voted leave in 2016.

This deal will get fucked so it'll be no deal brexit. She'd survive that imo. There's no chance of a secondary referendum. Corbyn can get to fuck for what he's done to combat this. He wants a no deal, probably more than the erg do.

She won't. The DUP would go straight to the opposition benches and there would be a vote of no confidence in about ten minutes.

Can't see anything other than this happening TBH.

Paddy is right about it being nothing like what was on the table when we all voted, but that isn't going to make a blind bit of difference to a lot of leave voters who just want out at any cost. And would vote the same way again, despite the mounting evidence to suggest we're shooting ourselves in the foot by going ahead with it.

May, Cameron, Farage, Davis, Raab, JRM, Gove, Johnson, Corbyn etc call all fuck off for being spineless, liars, utterly useless or a mixture of all 3.

Penny Mordaunt and Esther McVey are rumoured to be resigning.
