I'm really interested in the French election - macron is the favourite but I feel he'd be a hardliner in brexit talks so I'm hoping for him to miss out in this round to one of the others... the terror attack throws the whole thing up in the air, and he's seen as weak in that area, so it may make a difference....

Macron 23,7%
Le Pen 21,7%
Fillon 19,5%
Mélenchon 19,5%
Hamon 6,2%

Interesting to see when Mélanchon's votes go. Wet difficult to see his and fillon's votes going to Macron.

Mélenchon calls for restraint
Far-left contender Jean-Luc Mélenchon has called for restraint in a Facebook post where he appears to reject the early results.

"We don't validate the score announced on the basis of polls," he writes. "The results of the big cities are not yet known. I call for restraint".
