REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Oh, and the lowest earners are likely to suffer as a result of brexit:

Stephen Clarke, policy analyst at Resolution Foundation told the BBC's Today programme: "The National Living Wage relates to average earnings and because of Brexit, many forecasters, including the Bank of England, revised down their earnings growth; therefore the National Living Wage has also been revised down."
The Resolution Foundation now forecasts the rate - which is linked to the growth in pay of typical workers - to reach £8.60 by 2020, based on current forecasts.
Further details are expected as part of the Autumn Statement on 23 November.
If inflation kicks in, then this sector of society will lose out a lot.

As well the millions of people on disability and in work benefits, which have been frozen for the entire decade. Of course that is the EU's fault rather than overt deliberate Tory policy.

I can't keep up. Is THM berating LJ for not caring enough about the awful effects of Brexit on British people?

Like you give a fuck!!!

You really aren't doing very well here, you know.

Rather than insinuating that the person who just completely and utterly owned you on every point in your mis-informed diatribe is some form of non-caring pondlife, perhaps try some reasoned argument maybe?

No he didn't as you demonstrated before,I never said I paid any fraudulent funds to the EU. So the liar and fraudster bit is completely wrong.
Wouldn't it have been better to talk about the real point of the post I posted about EU corruption and EU officials recieving fraudlent money, than to repeat constantly a perpetuated lie, just to suit his agenda?

Has anyone ever seen THM and Donald Trump in the same room? The rhetorical style is uncannily similar.

I'm sure I read where LJ answered everyone of your 'real points'. I've now come to the conclusion that you are siting behind your computer laughing that you are winding so many people up.

I'm saying he couldn't see the plight or the suffering of the vast majority of the UK population, that a massive increase in the UK population has caused. I would say I don't blame immigrants for it, but politicians who signed up to open borders, to fill the coffers of multinational companies ect.
I don't dislike immigrants, I don't think I'm better, I understand that they want to feed their kids, but the infrastructure has not kept up. Do I blame sucsessive governments yes. Open borders is great if you are a big company, you work for the establishment, but it hasnt been good for the majority of British people.
Could we have stayed in the EU and not had open borders? The answer is no.

He answered them but was wrong on everyone of them. There is a difference.

When you are in a room and you are the only person that has that opinion then you sometimes have to stand back and say "I might be wrong here".

If he was wrong how about you counter them with the "correct" answers and show the facts* to back up your belief they are true. That way the issue is debated and moves on.

Somehow I have a feeling you won't be able to do that

*facts do not mean post the insane ramblings from inside your head.

Just so you know, the UK population has gone from 52 million in 1970 to around 67 million today. Hardly catastrophic numbers. The graph of the movement in UK population almost exactly mirrors that of Australia over the same time period. During that time Australia stopped taking boat people, closed the borders and introduced a point-based system. Good to see that made a difference.

People on the other side?

Do you mean the people who can't see a doctor for 2 weeks? the people who can't get a job in their local factory, where hundreds of eastern Europeans are employed? the people, who can't get on the housing ladder as prices in the south of England are rocketing up? do you mean the people who can't get on the housing list because they don't and will never have enough points, whilst refugees are put straight into to new housing developments? Do you mean the majority of the UK, that the comfortable middle class ignored and didn't care about before the referendum?

What you and the remainers are worried about, is yourselves and the establishment. You might have to suffer in the short term and you are blaming the people you have ignored and looked down up on for too long.

I always said before the referendum," Open your door and look around you".

You didn't and now you expect sympathy as you you blame the very people you didn't give a fuck about.

Welcome to the party. Be nice if you lot cared as much about your country 's people and your country, instead of unelected EU commisioners.

I seriously cannot believe i just read that on this forum. disgraceful doesn't sum it up at all.

So 15 million more people. Would you like to keep open borders?
