REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

If there was a second referendum, are you confident of the same outcome?

I think it could even be a bigger margin! A number of those who I have spoken to who voted remain said they wished now they had voted leave given the massive kick in the pants the whole political system is getting! Surprised me that as well!
There will not be a 2nd referendum though. In the 3 weeks since the world has not come to an end, the financial markets have not crashed we are not in horrendous recession, Osborne didnt have a mini austerity budget, The pound is stabilizing after an initial shock but that was accepted and expected by all. Given that a lot of the doom has not come to pass in the last 3 weeks yet Cameron has gone, Johnson has gone, Gove has gone, Osborne is effectively gone, Corbyn could be gone, Farage has gone then yes I think there is a lot of people who voted leave will look at their nights work as having a suitable initial desired effect.

That wasn't the purpose of the Referendum and surely it is wrong to use it or condone said use in such a way.

No, you're just being consistent. Can I inquire as to what the harm is in answering?

I would say that everyone I know who voted leave, they continue wanting to leave. I find it easy to answer hypothetical questions about the past and am happy to do that. For the future, we don't know even who will be leading any of the main parties. I will give you my opinion, I think leave would win by a bigger majority, if it was a fair referendum.

So what? 4m voted ukip last election for similar reasons. Protest voting has always happened as has single issue voting both locally and nationally. Neil Hamilton was beaten by Martin Bell for a single issue reason.
Brexit means Brexit and away we go.

Meanwhile, the biggest and oldest Italian bank looks like it's going to go bankrupt, Spain and Portugal are going to fined 2 billion euros each for not obeying EU fiscal laws, we are going to have a new EU border police with new powers and TTIP will be implemented by 2017. The EU really is a fucking mess.

Yeah, that's kind of your problem now. We've voted out so don't really need to worry about it. Enjoy.
