Reading (H) Build Up

It will be down to the authorities on whether it is safe for fans to travel. The state of the pitch and ground will be fine.

Pitch and stands will be fine it’s the walk ups that’s the problem have a feeling it’ll be the WMP that pulls the plug.

Ring Road is almost impassable now. So is the Stafford Road. I will be amazed if this is on.

Plus the staff working on the ground won’t be able to stay out in it to long wind chill of -11. Just put recycling out and it was a challenge just doing that.
Have a feeling the club will make an early call about 0900 in the morning before anybody thinks of traveling.

They've got time on their side to get it on though with the 5.30 kick off

Decision will be made earlier to avoid people making there way to the ground, expect the announcement between 0900-1000 tomorrow morning. Pitch will be playable but the approach to the ground just won’t be ideal for 29000 making there way in.

Somebody volunteering at the club has just said Laurie D is out with the volunteers shovel in hand.

What a guy.

If it's on I think I might take the TV option. It's an hours drive for me without factoring in the snow element, additional time to walk to the ground and the fact it'll be bloody cold. Naturally I'll justify it to myself as not being fair on my lad to be out in those temperatures.

Would be 4 hrs for me (though I wasn't coming up for this one anyway)

If its on then will watch - if it's not then will do something else

Him and Jeff out grabbing a pint on a match day said it all, really. Moxey got what was, IMO, an undeserved amount of stick but Laurie's ability to manage PR is absolutely miles ahead of Jez. Comes off earnestly as well which is just stupidly difficult to do as an executive.

And putting it on Twitter he'd buy the first 50 or so that got there a pint,Jeff ended up looking confused and a wee bit scared

Similar with me, been off work most of the week with the flu too so being out in the cold won't be fun, add in the hoo-har likely on the trains I've decided against it.

I think we've had the worst of the snow.

A few millimetres per hour forecast and above 0 at lunchtime tomorrow. Whilst that won't exactly thaw things out it should mean clearing is easier and less chance of any further snow

Had about an inch and half on top was already there so we’ll see all depends on what’s happens with the routes in and out the city and walk ups to the ground.

Villa game in serious doubt by all accounts.

Villa game now off expect a similar announcement from ourselves soon
