Gary Player is quoted as saying 'The more I practise the luckier I get'. There is always an element of luck in things but it could also be called cause and effect.

Have you ever got up really early to go and queue for something in a sale ? Not that I can think of. Joined the queue at Our Price to get a Metallica album on release day in 1988 but that was during the school lunch hour.

Do you prefer sponge cake or fruit cake ? I like them both. Victoria Sponge and Dundee Cake being my top choices

Are you any good at hanging wallpaper ? Dreadful

Have you ever tried to research your Family Tree ? Only a little bit. Somewhere on my dad's side the family used to own large chunks of temple bar but my paternal grandfather let it go to the other side of his family as he didn't want a dispute over a will. If that decision had been made differently I would have been born minted. Oh well...

Is there a big sporting event that you would love to go to but have never been able to for whatever reason ( and you cant put ' yeah, being there to see Wolves win the Prem ' !! ) ? Would like to see the AFL Grand final at the MCG, or England playing test cricket at Bridgetown, Barbados.

Do you believe in luck ? Not particularly. You get what you deserve a lot of the time.

Have you ever got up really early to go and queue for something in a sale ?

Like a moron, I went to the midnight launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops in Merry Hell a few years ago. One of the worst decisions of my life - it was honestly like Dawn of the Dead. Never ever ever ever ever again. A low point.

Do you prefer sponge cake or fruit cake ?

Sponge cake

Are you any good at hanging wallpaper ?

Wallpaper is shit. Paint FTW. Murals - even better.

Have you ever tried to research your Family Tree ?

No, but my grandad did once. He didn't get very far.

What's your favourite thing to put in/on a jacket potato ?

Chilli and cheese is a wonderful combination.

How old were you when you left home for the first time to start ventures new ?

Favourite flavour of Aero , choc, mint, or orange ?

Original chocolate.

Have you ever dated a friends ex ?

No - but was asked out by my mate's ex. I declined for two reasons: 1. I don't think it's right to do that and 2. she was a fucking psycho hose beast

Is there a big sporting event that you would love to go to but have never been able to for whatever reason ( and you cant put ' yeah, being there to see Wolves win the Prem ' !! ) ?

Loads! Wimbledon, a World Cup, I've still not been to Twickenham either. Not that sure I'd appreciate F1 enough to see one though.

Do you believe in luck ?

Tend to agree with Mark's answer here. It's just chance a lot of the time - I could do with chance favouring me at some point soon. Tonight's EuroMillions would be a start.

As a kid my dad would make the whole family sit outside the local sports shop from 3am to make sure we had the pick of the tennis equipment that was on sale. They had a policy of one or two items per person, so there'd be five of us sat out in the freezing cold in the middle of January three years in a row. God, I hate tennis!

Do you prefer sponge cake or fruit cake ?
Sponge. Unless I'm ill, then I crave fruit cake.

Are you any good at hanging wallpaper ?
No, shit.

Have you ever tried to research your Family Tree ?

Tuna, sweetcorn and mayo, black pepper.

18 , to get married , like a bloody stupid twat.

Orange.

No, never.

Either to a Superbowl, final game of the Stanley Cup with the Penguins winning ( they won last night freddeno :) ) or to a Monaco Grand Prix.

No, I do not believe in luck .

Have you ever got up really early to go and queue for something in a sale ?
No, but I did buy Sepultura - Roots on the day of first release as it came in a limited edition cardboard case embossed with a special "first day" stamp from Mike Lloyds Megastore in town. That was a great shop.

Do you prefer sponge cake or fruit cake ?
I do love Christmas Pudding with three types of cream :p
But, our wedding cake was a multi-tiered Vicky Sandwich, so I'd have to say sponge :D

Are you any good at hanging wallpaper ?
Never done it, but I doubt it.

Have you ever tried to research your Family Tree ?
Nope but I would be interested if someone else (aside from the mormons) did.

What's your favourite thing to put in/on a jacket potato ?
Got to be the classic cheese and beans - although chilli and cheese is a close second.

How old were you when you left home for the first time to start ventures new ?
19 I think. I never went to uni.

Favourite flavour of Aero , choc, mint, or orange ?
Probably just Choc.

Have you ever dated a friends ex ?
Nope.

A Wolves Cup Final would be very special. I'd love to go to a Test Match at Lords too. My Dad and his mates used to go to one every year and it seemed like a great boozy day out!

Do you believe in luck ?
No, nor fate or destiny.

Mike Lloyds! Best shop ever if you were a rock kid!

What 3 types of cream do you have on Christmas pudding?

Clotted, double and ice :D
My in-laws are to blame. They're from Devon.

Mike Lloyd's was brilliant. Loads of music downstairs. Good music, not just chart rubbish. Then upstairs for your t-shirts, shorts, beenie hats, vinyl, gig and festival tickets, tabacoo tins, posters, bongs, everything you could ever want really! They used to have a few band signings there too. Fondly missed.

My wife dragged me along to the midnight release of the last Harry Potter book at Waterstones. Don't judge me, it was an act of love! Plus we rented a flat in the city centre at the time so didn't exactly have to travel far.

Do you prefer sponge cake or fruit cake ?

Tough one. I love cake. Probably fruit cake.

Are you any good at hanging wallpaper ?

Never done it but I am a DIY disaster so I highly doubt it.

Have you ever tried to research your Family Tree ?

Yeah but most of it had been done for me by other family members. The only interesting thing I found was that both sides of my family hail from Sunderland.

What's your favourite thing to put in/on a jacket potato ?

Cheese and beans. Classic.

How old were you when you left home for the first time to start ventures new ?

18 when I left for Uni. I did move back between the ages of 21-25 though.

Favourite flavour of Aero , choc, mint, or orange ?

Mint.

Have you ever dated a friends ex ?

Sort of. My first serious girlfriend had previously had a 'bit of a fling' with one of my housemates at Uni. She was with him for about 2 weeks, a year or so before we went out, I still felt a bit bad though as he was quite smitten with her at the time.

Is there a big sporting event that you would love to go to but have never been able to for whatever reason ( and you cant put ' yeah, being there to see Wolves win the Prem ' !! ) ?

Probably watching a Portland Timbers home game as it means I get a trip to Portland out of it.

Do you believe in luck ?

I believe you can have an influence on how well things turn out but it is mainly down to chance.

I can feel another spurt coming on, here goes..

What did you eat for breakfast this morning ?

Do you find it hard to take criticism, whether it be justified or not ?

Do you like dried dates, figs, and prunes ?

On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your level of patience ?

Not sure how many will admit to this but, is there a film that you find sad that has reduced you to tears ?

This Christmas, will you be doing most of your shopping online, or in the traditional way of Christmas shopping ?

Females who insist on pulling the 'duckface/pout' on pictures, do you find it sexy , or pathetic, or am I completely missing the point ?

How many houses have you lived in , from childhood to present day ?

Are you still in touch with the one best friend you had in school ?

Bit of a morbid one ! Would you like to be able to see your own funeral when the time comes, as in who was there, who bothered to turn up, who spoke if any, and what they said ?

What did you eat for breakfast this morning ?

I didn't. I rarely eat breakfast.

Do you find it hard to take criticism, whether it be justified or not ?

Not at all. If it's justified, fine. If it isn't and I know it isn't, I don't let it bother me.

Do you like dried dates, figs, and prunes ?

No - but I love fig roll biscuits. Weird, I know.

On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your level of patience ?

I'll go for 9 - unless it involves the general public. In which case 1.

Not sure how many will admit to this but, is there a film that you find sad that has reduced you to tears ?

Sophie's Choice. I will never, ever watch that film again. Just so harrowing.

This Christmas, will you be doing most of your shopping online, or in the traditional way of Christmas shopping ?

Online 100%. I haven't been to a shop to get Christmas presents for years and never intend to do so again.

Females who insist on pulling the 'duckface/pout' on pictures, do you find it sexy , or pathetic, or am I completely missing the point ?

Unless it's pisstaking, it's incredibly annoying and not in the least bit sexy. WHY women do this I have no idea. STOP IT!!

How many houses have you lived in , from childhood to present day ?

Permanent residences - 5

Rented - 5

Are you still in touch with the one best friend you had in school ?

Yep - still best mates to this day.

Bit of a morbid one ! Would you like to be able to see your own funeral when the time comes, as in who was there, who bothered to turn up, who spoke if any, and what they said ?

I have no idea.

Do you like dried dates, figs, and prunes ? No.

On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your level of patience ? Depends what it relates too. Some things I have the patience of a saint but, for example, technology that won't work would score me about 1 out of 10 for patience.

Not sure how many will admit to this but, is there a film that you find sad that has reduced you to tears ? When I was a kid, Love Story for sure.

This Christmas, will you be doing most of your shopping online, or in the traditional way of Christmas shopping ? Online

Females who insist on pulling the 'duckface/pout' on pictures, do you find it sexy , or pathetic, or am I completely missing the point ? Don't really have a view about it.

How many houses have you lived in , from childhood to present day ? ten, I think

Are you still in touch with the one best friend you had in school ? Went to Sonisphere with both of them.

Bit of a morbid one ! Would you like to be able to see your own funeral when the time comes, as in who was there, who bothered to turn up, who spoke if any, and what they said ? I would want to check they got the specified song selection right, and to make sure the alcohol was in full flow for a good send off.
