QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Tell you what Trev, you go and earn the money somewhere in Germany, I'll be your live-in language tutor. Then we all win. For a bit.

Conpany I work for has loads if opportunities in Germany. If I ever plucked up the courage to apply for some jobs over there I'd need some help with the lingo!!

If I went anywhere it would be Denmark - have family there & enjoy the lifestyle & attitudes (not that I'm likely to though at my time of life)

The language isn't an easy one to pick up though (then again half of Danes speak English better than I do anyway)

There are three things that stop me moving at the moment:

a) Not having anything lined up work wise (plus I can't really do a 9-5 job any more, so it'd have to be something quite flexible)
b) My condition, which goes up and down and is much easier to control if I'm here
c) General fear of changing what sort of works (I mean I can't say I'm happy, but I survive fairly easily here)

If a and b went away or were resolved then I'd move back to Hamburg in a heartbeat and would consider quite a few other German cities. I really don't like this country any more.

Edit: I suppose I have no money to move at the moment either. That would be a bit of a problem. But anyway the point is that the UK can fuck off, it's horrible.

How old are you? You still have years ahead in which to do what you want DW. Hubby was 50 when we moved here

I'm 37 next month.

But I am a bit broken so moving would be a real mess in all likelihood.

You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?

You, Darlo and Deutsch. I'd do fish and chips with mushy peas and salad cream, or steak and chips with gravy and sprinkled Oxo cube.

What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?

Lie on my bed and switch the TV on.

Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of of?

Too many to mention really. Most of them annoy me to some extent. I'm not really a people person!

:icon_lol: at Bear. I'd come but I wouldn't eat it if you sprinkled oxo on me fucking chips!

Question 2 to Bear. Doing what indoors?

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?
Nah. Couldn't risk getting an earwax or vomit flavoured one.

How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?
Depends on the day. In the dray, reading a book. Perhaps turn the music up loud. Love to see/watch a thunderstorm with James' Sometimes blaring. Love watching the back garden in the rain.

What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?
The Famous Five, Secret Seven, and The Hardy Boys. As I got olders started reading Stephen King & Dean Koontz. Also read a lot of comics (Roy of the Rovers and Buster) and the associated annuals my grandad used to get me.

What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?
Life!
Do you like to lead or follow?
Depends on the circumstances. I'm comfortable leading in some scenarios, but others will look for a leader.
Have you eaten chocolate today?
Not yet, but doubt it not, it will happen!
You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?
Good Lord! Probably Darlo, Aiki & his bro, because they've been so nice to me over the last few years, and I owe them. I'd cook whatever they wanted. Plus, you know it'd be a laugh. I'd want to invite a few others too. Machin has been a fantastic fella, so I'd have to have at least 4 seats. DW and Kenny would need to be included, to give them a night off being on the forum! There's loads of others - Paul is absolutely hilarious, so I'd want him there for comedy value.
What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?
Put the bike away, change my clothes, then smoke. My own personal rule is I don't smoke at work. I then check my list of things to do that evening.
Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of?
I'm not physically violent or aggressive, so I'm more likely to spout a load of bile through an internet forum, then be pleasant to their face. If I don't like them, I wouldn't spend time with them.

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?

No, don't know what they are

How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?

It's cold and rainy most of the time that I'm at the football! Unless it's absolutely teeming down and it would be ridiculous to go out then nothing would change for me. I adjust my routine more when it's stupidly hot.

What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?

Any of the Roald Dahl books, I had the lot

What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?

Science stuff. It's just not my forté. I like facts in that you can use them to make an argument or form part of a wider piece. Facts that are just there and that's it...less interesting.

Do you like to lead or follow?

Depends.

Have you eaten chocolate today?

No, in fact not sure I have in the whole of 2018. Trying to be good.

You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?

Probably something simple, buy in some real top quality burgers and make my own chips, something like that. Can't be doing with faffing around or showing off, just get something that's going to taste really good, will fill everyone up and won't take up hours on end. I'll invite SLA because I haven't met him yet and he'd like the leafy suburbia that I live in, Jinky so there's someone of around equivalent height to me and Kenny because he knows the way here by now.

What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?

Well I work from home, so...

If I've finished working then the music can get turned up a few notches (I have it on when I'm writing, but only on low), I don't really watch TV. If I happen to be reading a book then I might get stuck into that. Or in the Bizarro world that I live in, I might go out for a walk.

Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of of?

I can't believe you're asking me this.

George's Marvelous Medicine, Bear. Must've really enjoyed it :icon_lol:

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?
Nope. Don't think we get them here?

How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?
Not going outside. Unless it's to the car and subsequently to an indoor location.

What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?
The Twits

What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?
Long division

Do you like to lead or follow?
Follow, unless it's choosing a beer.

Have you eaten chocolate today?
Yep, someone just brought some Celebrations into the office. Galaxy, Bounty and Snickers. Ta.

You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?
I can't really cook, so I'd invite Paddy round to be chef.

What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?
If it's home from work, then I get changed out of my work clothes and make a decent coffee.

Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of?
I'll come back to you on this one.

Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans, Harry Potter jellybeans.

Just took it that they were as popular over there as they are here. Maybe not though.

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?
Never heard of 'em.
How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?
Board games with the kids.
What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?
Famous Five, Secret Seven, Danny the Champion of the World...
What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?
Algebra.
Do you like to lead or follow?
Mostly lead.
Have you eaten chocolate today?
No.
You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?
Ooh, tough. Not met anyone off here and you all seem like lovely folk. I'd have to invite DW so I could show him that carrots and pasta really does work but the others would have to be drawn out of hat.
What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?
Feed the dog.
Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of?
It would be a very long queue but I imagine Piers Morgan would be quite near the front

.

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?

No. Do they actually taste like the flavour they are supposed to be?

How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?

Inside, somewhere warm. Probably snuggled up on the sofa with the kids watching a film.

What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?

I loved Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton. I was a massive Secret Seven fan, I couldn't get enough of them.

What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?

Things that seem limitless such as time and space.

Do you like to lead or follow?

Follow. I'm no leader.

Have you eaten chocolate today?

Yes, a "fun size" Mars bar in about 2 bites. I've also had a fake, Lidl version of a Rolo yoghurt.

You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?

This is a toughie. I'm incredibly introverted and a bit socially awkward with people I don't know so would probably pick those I know I'd get on with. I'd definitely invite Machin as I've met him a couple of times and he's really easy to chat to. Plus, we have kids of a similar age so can relate to the 'challenges' they throw up. Lemonjelly would be another one as we could probably chat for ages about music & gigs etc and he is another I've already met who is dead easy to talk to. I'd probably pick SLA for the 3rd one. I've never met him before but he's one I'd like to meet. There are plenty of others I could have picked though. Any of the PTG guys, especially DW who I know I'd get on with and Alan who I'd like to meet.

No idea what I'd cook though - I'm useless in the kitchen!

What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?

I always look forward to seeing the kids when I get home form work so the first thing I do is say hi to them. Get changed, play with the kids for a bit until dinner is ready.

Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of?

Nobody really brings out a violent rage in me. I guess the people that make me the angriest are politicians who put their own personal gains (or those of their party) above the well-being of the people and will considerably worsen people's lives just to further their own ideology. There are a LOT of those unfortunately. The Daily Mail also makes me quite angry. I could happily rip up a copy if that counts?

Ever tried Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans?

No, never heard of them

How do you like to spend a cold rainy day?

Inside! Probably playing computer games or dossing around on the internet

What books do you remember reading and enjoying as a child?

Used to read a lot of Roald Dahl books as a kid

What's one thing that you didn't understand and puzzled you as a child, and still does now that you are an adult?

Not so much puzzled, but just amazed at how the universe/space/planets etc works

Do you like to lead or follow?

At work I lead, but outside of work I'm more of a follower

Have you eaten chocolate today?

No, I very rarely do.

You have to invite and cook a meal for 3 TWF posters, who do you invite and what do you cook?

Would cook my world famous Spag Bol. As for invites would probably go with Deutsch as I speak with him away from here and he's a good lad, Darlo as I get on well with him too, and probably Paddy so that we have plenty of booze for the evening

What's the first thing you do when you get home from work, or get home after being out all day?

If I finish at a normal hour (around 5ish) I go and see my kids and spend some time with them. If it's a late (usually after 11pm) I just grab a beer and a fag and then chill out for half hour before bed - nothing too exciting!

Name one celebrity/sports person/ actor/actress or anyone really who you would like to knock 7 colours of shit out of?

So many, but Saunders would be up there, as would Cameron, May and Farage for being downright horrible human beings
