Having read through the last few pages I have come to the conclusion that alcoholics anonymous would be happy to sponsor this forum......

As a teenager we used to drink lots of Campari, nothing in it. Once we went from Birmingham to Newquay by train, and several bottles of campari later 6 inebriated teenagers staggered off the train.

Re: hangovers. Didn't used to get them at all until I was about 25, but these days a really heavy session just wipes me out the next day, I'm no good for anything. That said I don't really drink much these days.

What is a perfect, ideal day out for you ? VIP area at a county cricket game - used to be able to get this when I played for British Aerospace hockey team at Weybridge & Surrey CC used their ground for a number of 40over matches. Good food, beer, good weather, waited on hand & foot + some cricket

If you were in a restuarant and your food was not hot when it got to you, would you complain ? Yes - and have done

How do you like your Steak ? Medium rare - it needs to have stopped moving of its own accord, but a bit of blood etc is fine

We did not include the lemonade, and one lad who was very fair skinned had too much to drink one lunchtime, fell asleep on the shrubland leading to the beach and spent three days in hospital with severe sunburn.

I've known a lot in my time, all have been down to earth people who I've found easy to get on with.

Suppose it was a bit of an unfair question, as I would imagine not many of us have really known many. But I do love their decorative horse drawn wagons/ caravans . I think a holiday in one, travelling the countryside would be kind of romantic .

We have a child of Romany background in the school at the moment (though the family do live in a standard house now).

Seems to have innumerable Aunts/Uncles who either die or are seriously ill at regular intervals.

Coincidentally they seem to be able to coincide this with various Romany fairs/events around the country. Not that I'm suggesting anything by this!
