QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Did you used to opt for school dinners or take sandwiches ?

Usually took my own food, had spells of going to the chippy or into town, never ate the school food.

What subject at school did you enjoy, were good at, and that you have found useful in your choice of career ?

Enjoyed technical drawing, good at maths, both come in use at work.

Do you own any funny novelty ties ( like cartoon characters, Christmas ties ) and do you ever wear them ?And, do you have to wear a tie for work

No funny ties, don't usually wear one for work but will chuck one on when i have to go for a meeting with external people.

What meal of the day do you enjoy most, breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper ?

Depends what's being served for each.

:)

Same as what Bubbles said.

Art, although I was no good at it.

For some strange reason I always liked wearing my school tie. Also in the 80's I had a grey suit and used to wear a black tie with it. Used to think I looked dead trendy !

Lunch time, because I'm a sandwich kind of a person :)

I think I had sandwiches but there was a spell when I had school dinners. But I went off them when I discovered I could lift up a whole serving of lasagna without any of it breaking off.

Art. Loved it - always enjoyed it. Hasn't been one iota of use in my job, but it has meant I can paint murals on my kids' walls.

Yes, I've got a Mickey Mouse tie and a Homer Simpson one. Though I haven't worn them for years. I don't wear a tie for work but I'm not sure yet if I'll have to when I start my new job.

What meal of the day do you enjoy most, breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper ?

Dinner I think. Or lunch. I rarely eat breakfast.

I mainly had a packed lunch but occasionally had school dinners. I used to enjoy the school dinners when I had them though (but I also think Aeroplane food is really tasty so I am clearly easily pleased!)

My best subjects were Maths and History and I enjoyed them both. I went on to do a degree in History so I suppose that would be classed as my favourite. I wouldn't say any particular subject has proved useful in my job though, there is a fair bit of Maths involved when I am quoting packing cases for customers but my calculator works all that out for me.

I only own black ties these days I think. I don't need to wear a tie for work.

What meal of the day do you enjoy most, breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper ?

I enjoy all meals. Whether I prefer lunch or dinner depends on what I am having I suppose but I am always hungrier at lunchtime.

For some reason Soozie wants a pic of Kevin Doyle putting up...

Do you not wear a tie when you are being an irritating, eldery relative at weddings ? :)

Ofcourse not, that's part one of being really irritating.Sets the tone. :)

I probably knew that once upon a time,it's what we call evening meal loosely translated when we eat dinner just after work.

Did you used to opt for school dinners or take sandwiches ?Junior school I had school dinners. They were ok, borderline nice tbf. We then got caught up in the teachers strikes of the 80's & I think for 2 years had dinner at home. My grandad used to have to come over & pick us up, take me & my brother home to eat the pre-prepared snadwiches, then take us back!
Senior school was packed lunch all the way.

What subject at school did you enjoy, were good at, and that you have found useful in your choice of career ?
Subjects never really stood out either way for me, though I did clash with a few teachers. A good teacher makes all the difference to your love/hate of a subject.

I have a christmas tie someone got me in a secret santa once. I have a series of disney ties my brother was going to throw away that I purloined. They're silk, so couldn't allow him to throw them. I hardly ever wear them but probably should start...

Never eat breakfast, except on holiday. I'll say dinner/evening meal/tea/ whatever you call it.

Do you make a bit more of an effort in appearance on Christmas Day than you would normally, or do you slum it in ya jim jams and sit down to lunch looking like youve been dragged through an edge backards and needing a shave ?

A bath with me new bubble bath, dress in me new bra and knickers ( new underwear is a must on this day ) new outfit, perfume and take extra time getting ready, so yes, I'd say I make more of an effort on this day :)

Are you any good at taking things apart and putting them back together ?

I never make an effort when I'm at home,I probably should sometimes.Having said that I rarely look like I've been dragged through an edge backards whatever that is. :)

We won't be seeing anyone but ourselves on Christmas Day and I plan to wear my musical Christmas jumper (all 3 of us have new Christmas jumpers for the occasion). Now that I am blessed with bearded manly awesomeness, a razor will be going nowhere near my face, although I will be using the beard oil that Santa should be bringing me.
