Pre-Season 2023/24

Fabio is never going to win some people over but I can absolutely see flashes from him that help me understand how he got so hyped.

His hold up play is really intelligent.

He’s a good footballer. Works hard. Presses well. Holds it up. And gets in the box.

He just isn’t technically brilliant or especially quick. And obviously the price tag goes against him.

I’m more than happy with him as one of our forward options. We just need Sasa to be good too

I won't disagree on that at all. He's got some intelligent touches, just doesn't have the physicality or technique to play top level

Edit; ninjad by older wolf.

Certain gangly German forward who made a half decent career in spite of these traits, too... ;)

Hopefully Fab can turn out half as good!

Yeah Fabio has been good since coming on

It's a scandalous dive. But 1-1 is more than fair.

Good cameo from Silva. Some great touches.

2nd half has been a real grind sticking with this ineffective 4-3-3, but the subs have at least had an impact. A day to forget for Cunha who has fluffed pretty much every opportunity until the penalty.

Finally a decent strike from Cunha. Good work by RAN and Fábio.
