Pre-Season 2023/24

We played a game today against City’s academy so I assume one’s who didn’t get much (or any) minutes yesterday will have played in this one
Toti, Fabio, Sasa and Fraser appear in the pictures Wolves have tweeted

I would avoid Temple Bar in general as it is a rip-off and it's swarming with scumbags and gangs of kids. A woman was assaulted badly there last week.

Plenty of excellent boozing spots on Dame st, Georges St or Westmoreland St/O'Connell St area.
I would imagine most Wolves fans will be drinking around Ballsbridge/Beggars Bush area, beside the Aviva.
Thanks.

Shows my lack of local knowledge - I thought those three streets/areas all fell under 'Temple Bar'. The bar in the Clifton Court Hotel was always our meeting point in years gone by. Not fancy, but a good central location.

And all appear to have the same issue as the rest of the squad as it finished 0-0!

We managed a 0-0 draw against their academy side. There were 1st team squad players involved by the looks of it.

Camden pub open from 9.30 for breakfast. Bully on stage from 11.00. Camden street. 40 mins walk to Landsdowne
Great sports bar - it used to be The Palace pool hall, I spent every weekend in there for years. Was also where they filmed the Commitments live scenes.

The only thing is that its a bit of a walk from the city centre

Also, anyone else having problems on a laptop buying tickets for the Luton and Rennes friendlies? When I click on the matches to buy tickets I get this every time:

403 means that you, specifically, aren't allowed to buy tickets. Bummer for you.

(Half joking, I'm sure there's a whole group of folks who have been erroneously locked out)

They reckon Sasa had a good game.

For anyone under time pressure on Sat looking for a pub near to the ground, there are 4 good options very close to the Aviva behind the North end which the Wolves fans are in:
  • The Bath Pub - Bath Avenue
  • The Old Spot - Bath Avenue
  • Slatterys - Upper Grand Canal St
  • Ryan's - Haddington Road

I see they're doing a special offer double header ticket with kids going free for Rennes/Luton. Hopefully helps a few families get to see their team as its so hard for them to catch a league game

Hoping the screams from the kids drown out the abuse being shouted at Jeff Shi?

👍
According to the daughter (who bought the tickets) we've been moved from the North end to the East stand on the half way line, because the game isn't 'sold out', any idea if that's happened to anyone else? Or has she just messed up? 😆
I'll probably be sitting amongst the green and white *****.
Fill in your own description.

I’ve been moved as well to South Stand Premium from the West Stand Upper. North Stand tickets for four had gone when I booked.
I genuinely thought Celtic in Dublin would have seen a massive attendance. Ticket prices for a friendly probably did for that

Not many coming over from Scotland due to prices flights/accommodation.
Virtually all Celtic fans (self proclaimed best fans in the whole) in Ireland are the most passionate fans going...
from the comfort of their armchair/ bar stool.
Actually going to games nah

👍

Oh FFS. That's shit. Have seen a few people on FB saying the same thing.
I bought tickets for the North end but havent been moved so not sure the logic. We are on the front row so maybe they are moving people from.the corners.
Either way that is shit as the East stand will be mixed. Although you might have a better view depending on where they have put you

Thats a win for you. Premium level behind the goals is a good view, have sat there for a 6 Nations game and it is the optimal height and view.
You'll probably be surrounded by Celtic though

Thanks for the reply, according to daughter we're just a few seats back, right on the half way line so should be ok view-wise, would prefer to be amongst Wolves fans though, but not a big deal I suppose. Was looking at getting the Dart in but decided to drive. Parking Herbert Road, I think, meter pay parking, not sure if it's free on Saturday or if it's three hours max.
What you think?

Did anyone pay 6 quid to watch the Porto game? Just wondering if there were any issues before I fork out for this game.
