Pre-Season 2023/24

If that is anything to go by, I think we are going to look almost exactly like we looked last season. We will be mostly hard to beat, but we will be dull as ditchwater. Hopefully the last 3 weeks of preseason we work on how to pass and attack.

Quite entertaining (as far as pre-season friendlies go) and some tackles flying in. We tired in the second half, understandably. Still think we will struggle to score a huge amount until a proper forward is signed, but excited to see the likes of Cunha, Sarabia, Neto etc with a full pre-season. Maybe Sasa can come in ahead of them and start scoring regularly, but Julen warned us in his earlier interview that we need to be patient with him and he didn’t even get on the pitch tonight.

Nice to get a win, even if it counts for nothing.

Kilman, Hodge, Nunes & the front three all pretty decent. Sa with some cracking saves (I’ll ignore the dodgy moments with the ball at his feet).

Hmm, so based on that we're "dull as ditchwater" (note: ditchwater? Not dishwater? Interesting) and "quite entertaining".

Fair dos, Julen, it's impressive to cover such a wide spectrum.

Opinions innit. although I described the match as “quite entertaining”, rather than us, specifically.

Absolutely! Just amuses me is all; I couldn't watch the match so just getting a kick out of how opposite the two takes seemed!

All the players looked like they wanted to be there, which was reassuring to see

What the hell is that font Wolves have started using on their matchday tweet photos? One for the “annoy me” thread this morning. Nearly as annoying as Docs haircut.

Anyone heard how many tickets we've sold for the Celtic game? And any places to avoid in the Temple Bar area given there are two GAA finalists in town along with Celtic fans? I wouldn't expect any issues but as I travel to Ireland quite regularly I'm aware that not everyone loves us English ;)

Also, anyone else having problems on a laptop buying tickets for the Luton and Rennes friendlies? When I click on the matches to buy tickets I get this every time:

I would avoid Temple Bar in general as it is a rip-off and it's swarming with scumbags and gangs of kids. A woman was assaulted badly there last week.

Plenty of excellent boozing spots on Dame st, Georges St or Westmoreland St/O'Connell St area.
I would imagine most Wolves fans will be drinking around Ballsbridge/Beggars Bush area, beside the Aviva.

We played a game today against City’s academy so I assume one’s who didn’t get much (or any) minutes yesterday will have played in this one
