O'Neil In, Out and Shaking it all about

Got absolutely zero faith in us being able to beat Palace this weekend. They’ve just got their morale boosting win v Spurs. We’re acting like a last minute goal to draw v Brighton is our “turning point”.

We’ve got a manager/clown in charge who hasn’t won a game of football in forever - and we’re a quarter of the way in to the season and sit on 2 points, ffs.

We’ve forgotten how to win games of football and that only goes one way. Relegation is a formality at this point.

I've thought long and hard about whether I should continue to post on here or not, but firstly, on the whole, i bloody enjoy it (for the most part) and I've always taught my daughters to stand up to bullying, and to look out for people who are getting bullied.

So here I am.

I will stick up for myself if I feel I need to, and I will continue to voice my opinion, even if it doesn't necessarily align with the common WTF view.

I in no way am trolling, intentionally winding people up, being abusive or aggressive in how i post (please pull me up on it you believe i am).

I fully believe in what i say, and will do my best to explain and evidence my thoughts and opinions where i can.

Edit, and i didn't intend to post it in this thread

Yes, keep posting please. It’s people like you that stop this place turning in to an echo chamber. There can, from time to time, be instances where people attack the poster rather than the post (been on the end of it myself in the past - thankfully not for a while - I guess that’s one thing I have Jeff Shi to thank for as we’re all in agreement the blokes a twat!).

Having met a decent few of the people who post on this forum, they’re all absolutely sound, as I’m sure you are EP.

This squad will be nowhere near relegation with a decent manager.

Hopefully we get one.

So essentially a rumour that Moyes would be interested if we offered him the job.

I’d take him. Feel West Ham fans had delusions of grandeur wanting rid etc. think some people may find him an uninspiring choice though.

In a binary choice with GON I'd take him. To get the job then we are losing on Saturday, he's not good enough to get us out of a 7 point hole. I'm not sure anyone vaguely realistic is.

‘Zero concern for my position,’ O’Neil insisted. ‘I’m fine. It’s my job. The place is not going to be rosy and smiley. I fully expected this to be a tough atmosphere, especially when we went behind.

‘The fans can voice their opinions, of course. It’s my job to make the right decisions. The three substitutes made a big difference and we were excellent after they came on.

‘We have not been in the market to sign Premier League-quality players. We are trying to work with players to get them ready and they are learning to perform on the toughest stage in the world. We have to keep fighting.’

If you needed the last 3 ½ years summed up with a neat bow on it. Nuno with a squad probably more balanced, but not more talented than ours has Forest 3rd in the league. Wolves under GON are bottom without a win all season. Not as binary as Nuno good GON bad, but encapsulates his last season and beyond

Not wanting to be overly personal as I don't dislike O'Neil in that manner, just want him gone for performance reasons, but we weren't in the market for a Prem quality manager either. So that quote applies to him as much as it does the players he is suggesting it about. He was given the job at Bournemouth due to his position already there, he wasn't getting any other Prem job until we came along.
