O'Neil In, Out and Shaking it all about

7 seasons isn’t enough to dilute the memory of how depressing the championship is. Casting my mind back to Fosun first year and playing Wigan at home, only around 17k in the ground, dreadful game and we lost 0-1.
Press box was half empty so no one really gave a shit.
That’s the championship games are a matter of process rather than an occasion which they’re in the PL.
Probably not as many Saturday 3pm matches as most would hope for either. There will still be loads of Friday night, lunchtime Saturday games for us.

This is one of the few sane places where people don't have that wistful view of the Championship thankfully. I wanted Wolves to have a 20 year run in the top league. If we go down there will be no Nuno 2.0 or Jota/Neves style signings. More likely to end up like Swansea or Stoke or the other sides that just seemed to drift off without really threatening to return.

Hoping to come back to this after a few hours and find it’s moved on by about six pages.

Potter would not touch us in a million years. We need a total mercenary.
Yeah, assuming it takes us not winning next week before we get rid I think that rules out anyone progressive like him.. Potter needs to make the right move, he's getting something of a pass for Chelsea, he won't be given a second if he fails again.

GON knows it's a matter of time, hence the excuses

Utter madness that we’ve reached the stage where when we do replace the clueless idiot the next appointment will have to take account of the fact relegation is almost inevitable. That being the case we need to consider which of those managers that would be interested would most likely to be able to completely rebuild the squad after a fire sale and challenge for promotion. The alternative is a Sam Allardyce type appointment where you don’t look beyond May. Just great!

Potter would be a great option but I’d be amazed if he’d touch it without assurances about what the situation will be if we are relegated and those assurances won’t be forthcoming. He’ll get far better offers, quite possibly West Ham for example.

GoN isn’t going before Saints game. Irrelevant of what happens he has to go IMV but don’t think he will. I’d hope the powers that be have sounded out a replacement or spoken to people already. Not sure they will have though.

Brighton already have there next manager lined up for example after this one, well a shortlist atleast. You should be planning ahead all the time, even if you’re being successful, as when a bigger club comes calling they’ll be off

We'll have a list, it's who's on it that'll be the issue.

Dezza
Frank
Ian Beale
Dean Smith
Rob Edwards
BFS
Xavi

Text from Nephew - they're getting down there with some banners to make a point before Saints.

I doubt it'll even register with Shi, but it's starting.

Let’s be honest, it’s an absolute joke that he hasn’t been sacked already. Zero wins in TEN GAMES. Even more if you account for the drop off last season.

It’s complete & utter blind faith at this point that he’ll somehow turn it around (he won’t), so every game that passes is just a game closer to relegation.
Meanwhile scout Matt Hobbs our Sporting Director with next to no proper background in football serenely drifts around without a care in the world. Gerrim out pronto and get a recognised football pro who can inspire international level footballers and coaches through their reputation, network, ability and performance!
I watched Luton/West Brom on Friday night, christ that was a tough watch
Are you by any chance one of super scout Matt Hobbs's team having a sneaky look at Rob Edwards? ;-) God forbid we end up with him. Nothing personal about him but after Nuno and Lopetegui and in 2025 Wolves should not be operating as a provincial nothing club with been there done nothing employees.

Just seen this on Twitter…

67 days since Wolves won a game of football (2-0 v Burnley, Carabao Cup)
190 days since a PL win (2-1 v Luton)
239 days since we beat a current PL club (2-1 v Fulham)
252 days since our last PL clean sheet (1-0 v Sheffield Utd)
260 days since our last away win (2-0 v Spurs)
