O'Neil In, Out and Shaking it all about

Surely when GON goes they're going to have to go back up the food chain for his replacement if we have any chance of staying up (basically the Lage-Lop situation mk2).

They can't go for another minnow/novice

All depends doesn't it.

Cheap and miserable carries on, then it's a GO equivalent.
Shi thinks we might actually go down...a name via Jorge.

It'll be less appealing without the winter break, and with 3 windows worth of squad decimation.

They want cheap and miserable in the PL though I imagine.

If GON keeps us on this trajectory then Shi will be able to taste the Championship by the time of the sacking and he will have to gamble on something with a reasonable chance of success. He can't/won't just hand it to Derry or something, makes no sense

Rob is Shi's man.

Didn't want him gone from our coaching team
Got him the job at Telford
Wanted him as the permanent 1st team coach, not linked to the Head Coach.
and likely to be sacked himself very soon. Even cheaper

And a good chance we will want the only man GO has beaten in that run to replace him
Polite correction.... ;-)
Hobbs, Shi and the female staff at Compton and the Molineux with an eye for 'talent' will want this man who has achieved the square root of **** all in PL level football.

Someone that is offered an enormous wad of cash that is impossible to turn down.
So no one then.
I don't see that happening, and I certainly don't see a huge amount of cash being made available in January, which would surely be the condition of anyone decent coming in.

We’ve got one foot in the championship already and anyone incoming will know this.
The longer you delay it the harder it is to get anybody decent.

I don't think we need any more players and certainly we don't need to spend a fortune like we did when Lop took over.

Just need a competent manager, coaching staff and DoF.

And obviously a competent CEO

Relegation it is then.

Player wise, we’re not signing a keeper as we’ve just signed SJ

Would be suprised if we don’t go on for a CB though in January. Could be de ja vu from summer though.

If you look at our starting 11 you’d say we’re actually pretty good/good enough everywhere apart from CB and GK, which makes it even more shit where we are

Yeah, injuries aside all we need is a centre half and a formation which suits the players we have. Realistically we are where we are goalkeeper wise, anything else like a centre forward back up are nice to haves .
The formation and the way we set up defensively in midfield is the biggest issue. We had a decent CB with Mosquera but because of the set-up we were still rubbish.

I'm actually happy with Bueno and how he's been performing alongside Dawson. He hasn't done much wrong since he came into the team. Dawson needs someone decent to replace or back him up though as time isn't on his side and he's already starting to make occasional mistakes. I'll be interested to see if Meupiyou is any good in the U21s once he's fit, which should be soon IIRC.
