O'Neil aka GONe

Remember the same rhetoric from players 12 years ago about Terry Connnor and how great training was, YOU KEEP FUCKING LOSING, SO ITS FUCKING POINTLESS

Frankly fans don’t care what you’ve learnt on the training ground if you lose most matches. Sounds all to friendly and familiar at Compton and not enough uncomfortable truths coming out.
What do you want us to appreciate Matt the 3 wins in 25 matches? The comical defensive record that’s made celebrating a goal the equivalent of scoring a basket because you know you’ll concede again moments later.

Just blamed Fosun about selling and bringing nobody in. He's gone tonight.
Maybe with the media being behind him, *this* is what finally gets them to actually pay attention to the clusterfuck that is how our club is run.

Nah, Jeff will be thinking the media don’t know anything about football especially how to run a club, whereas our glorious leader has exceptional in depth footballing knowledge.

Not sure if I'm reading too much into it, but all of the coaching staff came over to the away end at the end and it seemed like they were saying farewell. Either that, or they were making up for the half hearted attempt GON made at Everton to clap the fans.

O'Neil was clapping and had tears in his eyes, I thought it looked like farewell too

As some have said feels like GON is in some sort of faux caretaker role currently

I seemed to see Gon with a plain black coat on with no wolves logo on it, anyone else notice that.

Just repeating what Judah said on Thursday and the reason I didn't watch last night. Never known a situation like it, but that's life under Fosun and Shi.
It seems West Ham are doing the same
Openly talking to managers and trying to secure them before sacking Lop.

It’s too late to sort anything this season I think - the team is totally disjointed and mentally shot. We need to look to appoint someone who can do well in the championship - a Kenny Jacket style appointment to counter GON’s Deano impression.

Screenshot_20241210_072052_Samsung Internet.jpgPoll on the BBC. Easy to quip about low-information voters etc but I still can't wrap my head around how he gets such praise in the media for neutrals to think he's doing 'a good job' to quote Carragher. British managers get such protection from the press, even if he actually took us down I would expect him to have defenders blaming VAR and supposed bad luck.

You get it on here. Giving 3 penalties away isn't him it's individual errors, not marking at set pieces isn't him, it's individual errors, not setting a wall up properly isn't him, it's an individual error. The individuals he coaches make errors week win week out, but it's not him, in no way is he the common theme, he's just unlucky and let down by the players.

As with a lot of things, need to separate them out a little.
Yes some of it is bad luck but amazing how when you are struggling that is the only luck you get. Last night for example was unlucky that VAR remembered they have to hate us but the piss poor defending is not bad luck...that's by design.

What is it 3 wins from 25? That is on GO and of course Hobbs/Jeff for not acting quicker and sticking to the "he will come good" line. Not luck there, just bad judgement from all involved.

There should be a clean sweep from GO and above...but there won't be and that "bad luck" will continue.

most potential replacements will be an improvement on GO but we need a big step up to have even a slim chance of staying up. The longer it goes on the more likely it will be Cooper “because he got Forest promoted’. All worth top six season ticket prices of course.

It’s unbelievable to think that Fosun, Jeff Shi & Matt Hobbs are capable of finding new levels of incompetence and negligence when you look at some of the appalling stuff they’ve done over the last few years, but here we are.

How is it possible that they’ve watched the same football and performances that we all have over the end of last season and the start of this, yet we now find ourselves in a position where they feel the best option is to leave Gaz in charge because they cannot find someone who wants the job? They actively think that is the BEST option?! I mean, you genuinely can’t make it up.

We might get marginally better on the pitch with a new manager in charge, but it’s a permanent problem until Fosun & Jeff sell us.

It’s crazy that Netflix or Amazon haven’t commissioned a show on us yet. It would have to appear in the comedy section rather than the documentary one, but it would be a great watch for anyone not associated with Wolves.

We’re an absolute clown show from top to bottom.

We know how this has worked.

Last season - ticking along nicely and then lost his forward line and had to use kids. This was partly caused by the clubs policy.

This season - Bitch of a start which meant we publicly said "season starts v Palace" which is fucking odd really but that's why we are where we are now.

In one way I like that they have a man and are prepared to back him through the rough but christ not this long fellas. You have destroyed a season through what is now blind faith

They're not backing him for positive reasons though.

Hobbs will drag it out because he's put all his eggs in the GON basket, and Shi won't want to pull the trigger as it'll cost money to get rid and replace, and GON is a nice compliant yes man
