Very few high end teams actively look to shy away from possession. Leicester were a massive outlier when they won the league in that respect (as well as a ton of others).

Klopp's Dortmund are probably the only ones that come close and you could argue that Mourinho/Simeone sometimes look to play that way. And having pointless possession in nothing areas is worthless. But in general if you want to win titles, keep the fucking ball. Thankfully we do.
