Norwich (A) 21/12 Build-Up & Match Thread

First visit since the Play Offs. Hoping for a better result than that time.

Barring international breaks (when of course we have loads of the squad playing anyway), this has been our first free midweek since the middle of July!

Prep time for opponents has been our enemy this season, it would be nice if it could now give us an early Christmas present.

Full first XI - Vallejo replaces BAS on the bench. Grant Hanley starts for them, which must be a guaranteed yellow if Diogo or Adama run at him

Traore v Byram has to be a positive for us, Byram is just a bit of a thug isn’t he?

I'd rather not have a thug against a player it takes one hell of a whack to take out

Still remember Hanley down Molineux for Blackburn. Assume it was under Mowbray. They were trying to play out from the back and he was just rancid, pressed him everytime and he either gave it us or booted out of play. Hopefully more of same today.

Don't think he's a thug, at least he wasn't for Leeds and barely got a kick for the Porno dwarves. He's pretty slow and very right footed from recollection so him against Adama will be fun to watch.

Yeah I knew he was right footed, can’t remember why I thought he was a thug. Like you say should be fun ti watch hopefully

You would hope Norwich are worrying about their selection far more than we are, currently our starting 11 is almost picking itself.

Just read all the nasty Norwich stats, and they're the kind of numbers that used to fill me with dread. Won one of their past 12 league games and lost 8, lost four of their last five home league matches. Facing a new club record 13th home game without a clean sheet. But those nasty days are now mostly behind us. We've had time to prepare, we have no selection worries and we now have Nuno. I'll sleep well.

If we win this I will close the cybertosis thread . We will have exorcised some demons then

Ugh. Gary Birtles on comms.

Struggling with balls down the side of Coady here. Mainly thanks to Pukki's movement.
