Non League Football.

Final in the Conference set as Forest Green and Tranmere.

Hopefully the vegans don't let me down again this year!

Congratulations to Halifax Town on promotion from the National League North to the Conference after an extra time 2-1 win over Chorley and also to Ebbsfleet who beat Chelmsford 2-1 to gain promotion from the National League South

Yeah just looked myself - the last game is at home to fellow play off contenders Nantwich next weekend. Lots at stake if they don't get a result on Monday.

And Benbow's goal yesterday was his 30th league goal of the season. Impressive!
Benbow has signed for Solihull in the Conference

Saw that. Chris Lait has made the same journey. Shame to see the side break up but inevitable after they lost out on promotion.

35 year old Luke Rodgers has signed for Hednesford. He wasn't ever the most trim when a pro so I can imagine what he is like now. Langers, he was at Stourbridge last year, I take it he's washed up?

Apparently he was sacked for gross misconduct. I don't know any further details though. He was primarily a sub as his legs have gone so couldn't last 90 minutes, but you could see his ability on the ball was better than those around him. He was normally brought on for 30 minutes at the end when Stourbridge were chasing the game, and played as part of a 3 up front with Luke Benbow and whoever else was up front with them (Jordan Archer mainly). Him and Benbow actually had a decent understanding and would switch between the right and the centre. It normally worked but then he disappeared completely and I had no idea why until my mate told me he'd been sacked!

Not surprisingly, Tranmere Rovers are the pre season favourites to win the National League, with the bookmakers expecting Eastleigh, Hartlepool and Dagenham and Redbridge to be up there.

There does not seem to be much backing for Leyton Orient at the moment, but with a new regime in place then maybe Orient could start the long road back to where they were just a few years ago.

Hartlepool made an interesting gamble on their new manager. Craig Harrison from TNS in Wales

Won everything in that League, althugh his last act was to lose the Welsh Cup Final and ended their aim to win a Treble of Trebles

Hartlepool are desperate to get back into the football league, but so are half of the clubs in the National League. It is a very tough league, as Tranmere have found out.

Its a horrible league and when you see York getting relegated from it and Torquay fighting to stay in it, it shows.

A lot of well organised and decent teams coming up from the North & South Divisions as well.

Indeed, it will be just as competitive as ever this coming season. Personally I think Dagenham and Redbridge could win the league, though they do not have the financial clout of clubs like Tranmere.

Regarding Hartlepool. It is a gamble going for Craig Harrison. Yes he has done remarkably well in Welsh football, but he is now taking over at a club where promotion is demanded. There will be a lot of pressure on him to get them off to a good start.

Expect my second team (Woking) to have another difficult year in the National Lg

As one of the few semi pro teams in what is really a fully pro lg (with many ex FL teams) much will depend on what loans they can entice out of FL clubs.

A good season is probably top half with an unlikely outside chance of the playoffs - usual will be bottom half, but avoiding relegation

Hopefully it gets no worse than that.

Scarborough Athletic FC played in Scarborogh for the first time since the club was founded in 2007.

The team, formed after the demise of Scarborough FC, has been playing home fixtures nearly 20 miles away in Bridlington.

Their first game back home was against Sheffield United, and attracted a crowd of 2,000.

12k is excessive but moving the ground would make sense, Kidderminster traffic can be a nightmare at times so moving it to the south of the town would be logical.
