Non League Football.

Congratulations to Lincoln City on their promotion back to the football league.

Well done to Lincoln!

Stourbridge's play off game is on Monday night after an impressive 4-2 win over fellow play off placed Nantwich. They play Workington - it'll be a packed ground for that one.

I clearly chose the wrong game to attend today!

I think Stourbridge will win on Monday, tough task to beat Spennymoor away next weekend though

Points wise there is little to choose between Spennymoor, Stourbridge, Workington and Nantwich. I think it will be about who handles the occasion better.

Good luck to Stourbridge.

Stourbridge v Workington tonight. Both teams in good form ahead of the play off semi final. I trust that Langers will be there.

Yep - just having a Bathams before I head to the ground. Should be a good crowd - hoping for a good performance.

I think it will be a very close game, as you would expect in a play off, but with home advantage I think Stourbridge might just edge it.

I hope so - they're good in the cups so I'm hoping that experience helps them!

1-0 Stourbridge at half time - bullet header from the centre half from a free kick on the right. Deserved after a nervy, even start but now Stour look like the more likely scorers. Good crowd in. Fucking freezing though!

Through to the play off final with a 3-2 victory.

Thoroughly entertaining game between 2 sides who gave it their all. It needed extra time after Workington forced it in from a scramble from a corner in the 90th minute.

Chances at both ends, non stop, frantic football - it was great.

The polar opposite to the Molineux bore fest 2 days ago. At less than half the price!

Let's be fair, £10 for seventh tier football is still ludicrous. But that's football in this country (and it certainly isn't just Stourbridge).

Happy to pay that at Stourbridge TBH. Helps out my local club and more often than not its an entertaining game. My kids get in free as well which helps.

I'm sure you enjoy it (in fact I know you do), not knocking that at all. But realistically, for that level of football - you're only two levels or so above glorified parks stuff - it's daft money. It's not necessarily Stourbridge's fault, it's the whole culture. League One and Two clubs charging £20+ and so on and it filters down.

Tickets for certain areas of the ground at St Pauli are €12,50. German second tier.

Sorry, hobby horse of mine. The cost of football in this country seriously annoys me. It's irrelevant whether I can afford it or not, who are you pricing out, what's the crowd demographic going to be in 10/20/30 years.

A season ticket costs just £104.48 at Bayern Munich and an even cheaper £73.88 at Barcelona (though a £130 membership fee is also required).(2015-16 FIGURES BUT IT SHOWS THE CAVERNOUS GAP NONETHELESS)

Completely agree. In the Wessex Premier League (Level 9) it's six quid still at most clubs. Far too much for the 'quality' of football you get to see as well. And then they wonder why the only got 30 odd people turn up at best most home games.

A great win for Stourbridge and now they are just one game away from promotion. I wish them well.
