New - The things that really annoy you

Not sure any new model will be soon. Musk is always promising things are just around the corner.

Too busy firing his staff in the UK for no reason.

New MY is pretty definitive from what I can see. Will be cheaper to manufacture too as it will just be a fat new M3

You do see them over here, but not in huge numbers. There is a big charging station at the car park of Coles in the nearest town 20ks away, and I see a few charging, but it isn't full.

Maybe the coverage of charging stations isn't as good as it could be. Or maybe the electric vehicle hasn't really hit with an audience that like utes and things with big engines. Fuel here is about 85p a litre at the mo, and they all think the price is scandalous.
I would buy a ute EV so goddamn fast.

They just brought back the VW bus, now we need the El Camino back!

You mean a refresh version like the Model 3 Highland?

Watching people playing shuffleboard and them having no concept of how you're supposed to play it.

Two people. 8 discs. Four of one colour four of another and they're playing the same colours, then wondering why their having trouble adding up the score.

I've seen three groups so far and only one have played it correctly.

Being the tallest person in the office when BST ends.

Fucking exhaust regeneration filter warning light again, why the fuck should you have to keep thrashing the fuck out of your engine.
Taking it to my local independent who does my service tomorrow, ain't giving Kia £190.

Yeah, bit over the top there, I don’t do many long drives, came on this morning on the way to the dentist, so I bombed down to Telford and back on the M54, 4th gear 75mph 4000 revs, ain’t cured it.

Not an expert on this but I think once it’s blocked you’re pretty much done and you’re not really going to be able to pull it back by burning deposits off. Very similar to a dpf in that sense.

Short distance stop-start isn’t the best scenario for longevity but if yours is a repeat offender that’s a bit unusual. If it’s a diesel there’s the potential the dpf is affecting the egr and then you’re into another bigger issue. There’s a lot online about that but it’s probably best to talk to your tech before going too far down that wormhole.

I’ve had a few vans (always the same type) that all pretty much had the same type of driving use, and some had terrible egr/dpf issues and others had no problem whatsoever (🤷‍♂️). From experience I’d say the additives don’t work long term either, although they can be very handy in getting the dashboard light off for the length of time needed to get the vehicle to the dealership when negotiating the best offer part exchange 😉.

Had forced re-gen, £186 including diagnostics, I need to do at least one long drive a month.
Makes you wonder why not just buy an old car that doesn’t have to comply with all the current emissions regulations.
