A bit unfair on Campbell especially. He had a pretty decent career over a number of years and remember the level we were at when he played. Other players from poor local leagues got minutes as well. You'll have ignited a Chapman fuelled rage somewhere in Spain.
Yeah it was announced a while back.Somehow managed to miss the news that my EV car tax will be the same as big diesel next year. And because EVs were stupidly expensive, I get the benefit of paying “luxury tax” too. What a farce
I love my diesel car. £20 a year is hard to find though tbf. Especially when compared to my extraordinary MPG.
Thats a crazy price for a Tesla, you could lease a MY at £299 a month over 3 years with 6 months up front recently. £12k over 3 years, you'd struggle to get a comparable diesel for that.Yeah, I could have a charger fitted at home and an EV would work for a huge % of my journey’s but it’s an unnecessary faff for the still relatively significant number of trips outside of the range.
I’m not sure they are a no brainier either. There seems to be a bit too much obsession with the charging cost ppm but it’s the overall cost that interests me.
I did some sums when changing mine last year. I don’t lease or PCP, and buy assuming I’ll keep it about 3 years and do 10k miles pa. Something like a Tesla 3 or equivalent on a lease PCP package was coming in at total cost package of around £28k. You just don’t need to spend that kind of money and can get an awful lot of quality petrol/diesel motors for less than a 28 grand hammering over 3 years.
I’m not anti-EV’s at all, but if you’re not particularly green or benefitting from business user tax breaks then I’m still to see numbers showing they stack up. Factor in the aforementioned unnecessary hassle factor and it’s a big turn off.
I guess we’ll get there eventually but I think I’ll stay out of it all for a good while yet.
Who are those lease numbers with and what mileage per annum? Way better than anything I can see with my company lease deals. I'm still with my own diesel as a result and taking the cash.Thats a crazy price for a Tesla, you could lease a MY at £299 a month over 3 years with 6 months up front recently. £12k over 3 years, you'd struggle to get a comparable diesel for that.
I got my ID7 for 2 years at lower than that too. The depreciation on buying any new car would be more.
Just go on the Tesla website and play with the offers. This is the current best offer I can see on the MY LR (the offer offer was the standard range)Who are those lease numbers with and what mileage per annum?
