New - The things that really annoy you

We were going to Lairg with a trip to the Glen Morangie distillery via a scenic train journey thrown in.

Now going to Dornoch, about 15 minute drive from Tain and Glen Morangie
Stayed in Dornoch for my 10th wedding anniversary. The food at the Dornoch Castle Hotel was magnificent either in the restaurant or bar. Be careful if you are a whisky drinker in there as you can spend the GDP of a small country on what they have to sell.

Dornoch is really nice, that part of Scotland is very wild. Not such spectacular scenery as the West Coast but still very good. Beaches are lovely round there too if you get some decent weather. There used to be a Highland clearances museum at Tain if that sort of thing interests you.

Do NOT go all James Bond and ask for their oldest MacAllan without checking the terms on your mortgage first…

Aye, I had a look to see what was in Dornoch and the Castle Hotel looked really good

Just met the senior civil servant in charge of helping to co-ordinate water exports from the UK. 3 months experience and no background in the industry

We're all relying on you to put your arm round him and instruct him how it needs to be.

Talking about the Highlands we've booked up a stunning remote 'cottage' in Portessie for our honeymoon next year. Helen wants to do the Glenlivet distillery so we're fucking doing it.

This doesn't actually annoy me by the way.

his bile is music to the ears of the tories @Langers
Braverman has already hopped on the bandwagon arguing his situ shows how the woke agenda is so dangerous.
Banks deny people bank accounts and other financial services every other day of the week. & don't have to explain themselves.

Nigel fucking Farage annoys me.

Why and how is this hate-filled cunt sack still getting so much press attention?
He's even got the Prime Minister and Elon Musk tweeting in support of him.

It's mental.

My mums family are from that area - Tain/Invergordon/Inverness. My granddad spent some time in Dornoch castle as a boy while my Great-grandad was training there during WW2.

Same great-grandad also worked on the Glenmorangie distillery for a while too!

Note to self:
Don't read the "what's for dinner thread", when you've already eaten and now fancy something else, despite being on a health kick.

Going to cook spicy Cajun wedges and realising you have no grease proof paper left. Leg it down the shop, they have none. Leg it to the next shop, they have none either. Last shop has some. I don’t fancy fucking wedges any more.

So you'll be introducing this to your house come December, then?

Writing job applications. God sometimes it's so tedious trying to match something to the person spec.

To add to the above, having to then edit the mother fucker down because of character limits on the online application form.
