I just read up con Amorim, his récord is quite good and looks a fantástic choice

Can someone who knows more about him give us some info?
Tbf, his only positive record is the title with Sporting. Last season was a bit more meh, and this season the team seems to have fallen off a cliff. Doesn't help that they've basically sold off anything of value as Sporting is drowning in debt.

But his first season Sporting team played really well.

From the bits I've seen he seems a bit of a character. OTT passionate, which can go both ways

Sounds familiar

Toxic may be too strong a word, but doesn't seem an overly happy camp.

You can get away with putting noses out of joint if you actually still get results... Otherwise it's a total shitshow eventually.

With any luck we get a proper manager who can get the old and new players walking tall together

I think 'called out' is too strong a term, but I mentioned the way Boly left gave me pause for thought that maybe he wasn't a fan of Lage, as it was another in a string of seemingly dependable pros giving in, and seeming desperate to get out and was told I had no basis for that, but something about it seemed to me more than just a former favourite recognising his opportunities were dwindling.

I was joking to friends earlier that "but could he get a goal for a Lage managed Wolves side?" - could be the new cold wet night in Stoke cliche.

On late night pundit-watch Jenas & Deeney actually spoke sense on MOTD suggesting Lage didn’t have a clue.

Very fair comments.

Particularly from Jenas about whenever we went 1-0 up. We just gave away all control of the game, defended and hoped. Awful tactics.

OG Tim reporting that Lage was going home to Portugal after every game.

only really need the groping waitresses and we've got Zenga MKII.

Lage was a disgrace.

No idea. No passion. No effort. A crying man baby with excuses for any loss. Terrible communicator. Terrible man manager who publicly shamed his players regularly after losses. A complete lack of a football brain.

He's as bad, if not worse, then Dean Saunders.

happy to see this news pop up in my feed.

Why did they wait until he was sacked to say this ? Easy come out with that when he is gone .
