What has Amorim done outside Portugal ?

If he wasn't Portugese would we be chasing him , based on his record .

His win ratio is good , but is it not all in Portugal ?

37 years old , quite young as well .

Would prefer Emery (would be cheaper too?), but Amorin would surely be a huge step up from what we had yesterday anyway.

Emery has a wide range of experience in more than one country - with success as well . You can't ignore that .

OG Tim reporting that Lage was going home to Portugal after every game.

only really need the groping waitresses and we've got Zenga MKII.
If this is true, then it's an absolute disgrace. Would lose all the good will I still have for him in one swipe.

By all accounts, he’s known as an extremely progressive coach and none of the highest rated young coaches in Europe.

He also plays good, attacking football, and will likely play nunes how he should be played!

My only concern I guess is that the stench of Lage probably causing this, but he’s had one league title success and then team have dropped off. Ok, factor in selling their players but that’s my only worry.

I just don’t see how a coach can’t get an attacking tune out of this group, so if we get him, fingers crossed it’s him

I'm wary of everything Portugese these days . Even under Nuno in the end we became quite boring and slow . We know what Lage brought .
You can blame that on Lage if you like .
As I said in my previous post he has a good win ratio in Portugal - Lage has too .

No one has been appointed yet .

Let's hope you are correct and he can bring that coaching ability - with goals to back it up .
Stop letting Lage colour your views. Amorim is the outstanding candidate by a bloody mile.

It was a ridiculous post you made.

Although I somewhat agree with your first line in the post above in your original post a simple Google would've told you he's only managed in Portugal and with huge consistent success which is what neither of his predecessors had.

What his age has to do with it I don't know. Pep Guardiola was young when he was in charge with Barça as was Tuchel, Klopp and AVB at the start of their careers.

I dream of having a manager who does such a good job he is poached by another team. Incredible that we have never had a manager good enough to be in demand by a bigger club since Stan Cullis.
