Other than coaching the goalkeepers he seemed to help out on corners which, again, didn't seem problematic. The assistant manager (coach to be exact) was Silva. I still don't understand the hatred.

Defending set pieces he definitely improved us. Little improvement attacking wise mind.

I can see why people don’t like his character rbut it never bothered me tbh

Martins is a Pini Zahavi client it appears, so seems weird a direct competitor to Lord Mendes would be involved.

His Olympiakos played some great football though, I remember the games v Arsenal were hugely entertaining. Would still be way down my personal list of options.

May seem lazy but even a quick scan you can see he is different quality CV wise to Lage. Had some successes with different teams and like others said they at least seemed exciting, also had to work on being dominant and then adapting to being less favoured In Europe so that is always something that shows flexibility you would hope.

His CV stands up far more than Lage did, 3 titles in 4 seasons yes at the biggest club but shows he can deal with pressure. Even still his in the he’ll do camp as opposed to the yes please camp.
