I doubt we'd be telling him that. Any manager knows if he's successful he keeps his job, if he isn't then he won't.I really don't see Nuno coming on the premise that he's caretaking the role, nor 'the jobs yours Julen once your dad has died'
Jeff Shi replacement?
I think Nuno will also be happy to work with the squad at his disposal i.e. I don't think he'll rock up here and go "right, 5 at the back, roll it back, lads". I suspect we'll see the back 4 remain the same, but he'll actually get the team playing in a way going forward where we actually, y'know, score a goal from time to time. Most of us have forgotten what it's like!
Maybe that is why we have stopped scoring. The players hate itI'd forgotten about goal music until someone mentioned it earlier
Moyes seems to be doing a decent job at WHU.The number of managers who return to manage a former club is so low that it means it is statistically irrelevant to the “never go back” - that is just an emotional response. The only meaningful question is whether Nuno is a good manager. A promotion, two top half finishes and a successful Europa League campaign wouid suggest he has got some talents. When things were going well, he had a good relationship with the fans.
But honestly, what he has done in the past is irrelevant - what can he do in the future?
That's a fun one. Gaps between goals this season (just taking every game as 90 minutes, dead on, which it isn't):score a goal from time to time. Most of us have forgotten what it's like!
I can't stand Guedes but I reckon his best use would be as a second striker in that kind of system.I know you jest, but do we have the players for 352?
I don't think so.
A player light at CB and up front.
