with no pace in attackCan’t see Coady ever playing for us again in all honesty.
If Nuno returns, will he be reverting to 5 at the back?

Not exclusively. I think you saw in his final season that he'd seen the need to be a bit more tactically flexible between 3 & 4 at the back. It was just poorly executed (with the obvious extenuating circumstances). Can’t see Coady ever playing for us again in all honesty.

Well he was trying to move to 4 at the back in the Covid season and gave up on it.Can’t see Coady ever playing for us again in all honesty.

Actually watching this again some of our attacking play was exceptional. Lower ranked teams but some decent defences.Fuck it, watching it
Disappointed that wasn't a gif of your dog. 0/10. Try better. More dogs next time.Well he was trying to move to 4 at the back in the Covid season and gave up on it.
Scenes when he returns though and moves Neves into the centre of the 3 and Bruno is sat at home going
Only works if the image/gif relates to Nuno thoughDisappointed that wasn't a gif of your dog. 0/10. Try better. More dogs next time.
That said, it shouldn't be a reason not to rehire Nuno if he is the best man available
I think we'll stick with four for now. When we did play four under Nuno we actually created a lot more chances in general, we just looked very rocky defensively (but theoretically have more suitable players now than we did in 2020/21). We just looked shit under Lage. Can’t see Coady ever playing for us again in all honesty.

I don't think he'll tolerate Sa's clown car stuff for very long so either he adapts quickly or we'll sign a new keeper.
I don't think Nuno will go back to that. Conservative yes but not that, partly as we don't have the players for 3 at the back any more and partly as we have Nunes in central midfield and he can carry the ball forwards and beat people.More importantly, does it mean the horseshoe of doom is here to stay? And a new contract for Adama?
There's being in a job and there's doing one of Uncle Jorge's contacts in Saudi a favour for a few months... Amorim apparently has a €30M buyout, Nuno would be a fraction of that.Sorry to be harsh, but of course he isn't the best man available.
He's already in a job, just as the likes of Amorim and Svensson are.
We just have a team incapable of selling the club to anyone who isn't a) on Jorge's contact list and b) on a downward trajectory
That wasn't the point I was making. Just saying that if he is the best man available we shouldn't let the fact he worked for us before stop us from rehiring him.Sorry to be harsh, but of course he isn't the best man available.

He'll die a little inside when he sees Hwang and Guedes bumbling round the training ground after keeping them at bay for so long!
If rumours are correct Nuno rejected the chance to sign Hwang when he was here. Will be interesting to see how he utilises him (should he come)
About 60% of the No to Nuno fans have just changed their mind thenIf rumours are correct Nuno rejected the chance to sign Hwang

I'm hoping he doesn't have Neves and Nunes sat on the centre backs toes as he did in the Covid season though.
I don't think he'll need to have them that deep if it's a Neves/Nunes double pivot. The change to 4 at the back didn't work initially because we had a severe lack of pace at CM & CB. None of our centre backs could defend on the turn and every time the central midfield pushed forward they left themselves wide open on the counter. Neves is still there but Collins & Nunes are rapid (as is New Traoré) and Kilman has turned into a quality centre back who defends the space behind him brilliantly.I don't think Nuno will go back to that.
