If Nuno comes back, I could see him looking around the place with disgust in the same way I did last month when we left my step daughter in the house on her own for the first time.
I think he will be impressed with the meeting room Bruno had installed.

A huge space to find those solutions

I'd be quite happy with Nuno coming back to be honest. I think COVID and being far removed from his family was what brought his downfall in the end, alongside a freak injury to Jimenez.

One thing is for certain, he's an upgrade on his predecessor, he knows the club (and the players) and the fans will be on his side from the get go in the stands.

We’re in needs must territory I think some people at the club have finally woken up to the fact that we are in genuine relegation trouble.
I think it’s a case of reverting back to the tried and trusted.
Nuno had a good knack of reversing fortunes by hook or crook. Even in the second half of 20/21 season he managed to find results when it was absolutely necessary Chelsea away, Arsenal home, Leeds home. Wasn’t pretty but he kept us clear of immediate danger.

If Nuno comes in and prevents us from having to go back to the league of hell then I’ll be delighted.
Give me being mediocre in the PL than scrapping around in that trough.
Fans of clubs who go down trot out “it’s proper football” “we’ll win more often” “it’s more entertaining” basically stories to tell themselves after knowing they’re gutted to be relegated.

I've got the biggest smile thinking he might be coming home.

I hope its symbiotic, Nuno galvanises Molineux and Molineux galvanises Nuno. Atmosphere at the stadium has petered out since Nuno left*, we all know why with Lage but hopefully if he is appointed we give each other that spark.

Positive for me is we aren't currently scoring and Nuno's presence will hopefully rekindle Traore and eventually Raul.

The big concern is if he hasn't found his mojo and that's a huge risk. I'd hate to sully what we had with him before but I think we're staring down the barrel so needs must.

I'd be tempted to send him on his way regardless come May so we can finally go in a fresh direction but that's reliant on a new coach being ready to step in and a complete overhaul of Shi/Sellars etc. If we don't do the latter Nuno will become a Portugese Billy Davies.

*Im in no doubt the atmospheres would have been terrible toward the end if his first reign.

Odds on "Nuno had a dream" ringing around Molineux tomorrow?

If he gets us mid table he won’t be going anywhere with an emphasis of pushing on again next season.
If he does get us comfortably safe I’d have no problems with him being given next season too.

Of course, a huge positive for us OCD admin/mod types is we can just resurrect the old 'Welcome to Wolves Nuno' thread if he was appointed, rather than creating a new one.

We hate messy forums.

Sums it up well, except it misses off the fact that we'll have to pay his current club money for him as well.

If this ends up happening Shi wouldn't survive in any other commercial environment or even in most football ones.
Like most others I have a lot of time for Nuno and wouldn't have sacked him when they did, but it's pathetic that a) they are going back to him and b) it has to be him because we are beholden to Mendes

If we do end up rehiring Nuno then I don't see how Shi remains in post.

It's a very expensive mistake to correct which has also caused us to lose some very influential characters in the squad.

That said, it shouldn't be a reason not to rehire Nuno if he is the best man available, but it should be a reason the Fosun should seriously question Shi's judgement / strategy.

Think it's an absolute no-go on both (as in the terms of the loan simply don't allow for it unless all parties agree, there'd have to be refunds/penalties paid by us for our own players, and Everton/Anderlecht obviously won't want to do it).

Can’t see Coady ever playing for us again in all honesty.

If Nuno returns, will he be reverting to 5 at the back?
