That's not what I said is it? I said it felt like work in Nuno's last season.

Take it you enjoyed it? Fancy a bit more? Maybe he'll move his family a bit closer to him this time so he doesn't miss them so much and the team plays a bit better.
Check out the salt in those tears 😂🤣🤣

Superfan indeed.

A lot of people thought (including me) that sacking Nuno was crazy in the first place.
Won the Championship at a canter, 2 7 places in the Premier league, Cup semi, EL Cup quarters.
His last season was tough, we weren't very good, but still manged lower/mid table comfortably clear of the relegation zone. Could he have turned it round? Dunno, but surely he had enough credit in the bank and kudos to be given a chance?
Don't know if it'll work out him coming back but compared to Lage and some of the dross we've been linked to, I'll welcome him back with open arms.

I don't think anyone can deny it was tough, certainly in the last few months of his time with us and the Chorley/WBA double header was beyond bad.

If we get the Nuno with that spark in him that he had until Covid football then we are on to a winner.

The thing with Nuno's last season - allowing for the disruption of Covid and Raul's injury - is that the team clearly needed a refresh, but Shi decided to change the manager instead. (It's cheaper!) A year later, woops, turns out the problem was deeper after all, let's spend £100m+ on revamping the squad.

This is fully trying to spin this as positively as possible on my part, but this now mostly isn't the same team Nuno had when he left. It can play with a back four, for a start. After a chill time in Saudi Arabia, clearing his head, maybe this is close to the refresh he should have been given but wasn't.

I'll be honest with you Alan, I don't really care enough about them to veto them.

Sorry.

He's no-one's first choice really, but I think it's possible to be positive about Nuno's possible return because of the man himself, and the hope he can carve out another positive chapter for us, while also thinking it shows the decision-makers at the club to be as laughably out of their depth as the current PM

Liam on Rob Edwards

"Although he was interviewed for the head coach position, at this stage it is unlikely he will be chosen due to his relative inexperience.
However, Wolves are understood to be interested in bringing him back to the club in some capacity, and he could form part of the next manager's backroom staff.
Wolves are considering a shake-up to their coaching system and could bring Edwards in as a permanent member of the team that would remain in place, even if Wolves sacked another head coach further down the line.
However, Edwards is attracting interest from Championship clubs and it remains to be seen if he will take a backroom staff job, after his stock has risen sharply in a short space of time as a manager."

You can't have seen Collins play if you think he's like Bennett.

Other than being tall and playing CB the similarities end there.

Nuno would be crazy to go with 3 at the back with these players.
Like i said, Bennett max as he'd be a RCB in a 3 would he not? He's good in the air, strong in the tackle, better on the ball obviously, but not as good as his partner.

So Kilman as LCB, Toti in the middle and Collins at RCB?

That's, well, rubbish.

Can't be having Collins or Kilman in the centre that would be a complete waste.

That's a little bit of an extreme reaction to someone who doesn't share your view on the next manager.

I realise that's kind of your trademark though. You do you. It seems to make you happy.
From the man who played the Superfan card earlier? Really?

And it doesn't matter how many games you watch, it's how much you understand the game you're watching.

I know Alan does.

The managerial saga continues:

Nuno Espírito Santo is NOT Wolves’ first choice

Could still take over if others not interested/available

Rob Edwards to rejoin coaching staff?

We'd have to wait until after the World Cup for him to coach a game
