We’re a very negligible asset to Fosun. At best we’re a PR exercise.

I'm not as worried as others at the prospect of going down, but I'd be foolish to say it's impossible. If we keep playing as poorly as we are, it becomes even more likely. I can't remember seeing us look so pathetic in the final 1/3, and I saw Paul McLaughlin playing for us. We deserve to be where we are at the moment - we've been shit.

However, I firmly believe we're playing WAY beneath our full potential. Part of the reason for the was Lage, and I wouldn't dream of suggesting that it's anything other than a big job for JL or whoever else comes in.

I think we'll pick up more than enough points, and some of the very talented individuals we have will start to show a lot more.

We're not too good to go down, I just feel that it would take a considerable chain of shoddy events to unfold for that to happen, starting with a really poor appointment as head coach.

We have wasted too much time by not acting sooner though.

Al-Ittihad have a game tomorrow so can't see Lukey B being right with that one.

Guess we'll know quite quickly then..

Would people take Nuno back?

I say yes but I feel that is mainly nostalgia but also fear of our current position.

I would, but I'd be under no illusion that we'd be very unlikely to ever get 2017-2020 back.

I'd also be even more annoyed at the club than I am now for sacking him and appointing Bibs & Cones, and I'm already fairly vexed about that.

Did Nuno even play 3 at the back until he joined us? Far too much is made of rigid adherence to formations for both players and managers.

If there's a guarantee it's pre-covid Nuno and he's had the chance to refresh himself, in a heartbeat.

But I very much doubt that's the case.

If he did come back it would have to be coupled with Jeff’s removal after his actions in sacking him. He needs a proper DoF too. Would need wholesale changes at the club so can’t see it happening.

Would make for a good atmosphere on Saturday tho

Worth noting that there are no direct commercial flights between Birmingham Airport and anywhere in Saudi Arabia. Could go via Dubai, or elsewhere, but just pointing it out.

No, but it’s easy enough to book flights from Saudi to Birmingham.

Random fact of the day - he's doing an MBA in Sunderland.

Would he keep us up though?

I don't think he'd ever have taken us down. We were shocking that last 6 months but still picked up enough points to sit in midtable.

Wouldn't want to see him back personally, I think he'd reached a natural conclusion with Wolves.
