Our form was fine tbf.

P9 W5 D1 L3

Having that all day long. Better than the 9 games pre-Covid, which was W3 D4 L2.

What killed us was Spurs having both Kane and Son back when both were out for the season. Plus Matt Doherty throwing his arms in the air like he just didn't care.
In the 93rd minute as well or something like that . We had that game won twice over .

That Burnley match is the real sliding doors moment for sure. All else stays the same we'd have been in the Europa League again, but the knock to team morale also almost certainly hurt us in getting something in the final match against Chelsea too for more of a buffer. And with another season in Europe, maybe Nuno gets the funding for new players that Shi didn't want to spend otherwise... maybe.

I'm sure I had a bet on him becoming manager when the odds lengthened, but it's disappeared out of my open bets

Is that because some bookies paid out on Davies? I'm sure I read on here that a poster had a mate who had backed Davies at 25s and the bet was settled.

Bloody Chelsea not turning up in the FA Cup final against a shit Arsenal team.

Alonso diving against us and they score from the free kick.

Sheff Utd scoring in the very last second against us.

Loads of stuff tbf but the biggest one is definitely Spurs having players that they 100% wouldn't have had without the season stopping for months.

Arsenal had to beat Man City in the semi final too.

If we'd beaten Burnley then the Chelsea game would have been for a Champions league spot. Defeat in that game would have still left us out of Europe as I'm sure that Tottenham would have beaten Palace if they needed to.

Wanted to offer apologies to anyone who may have found my joke about Lopetegui's dad offensive. Not my intent at all (though I admit it was a crass comment, regardless).

Have taken it down. Again, no harm meant.

Yep. SkyBet. Looks like we’ve been screwed over. Thanks Jeff for that announcement.
