Well until he is approached and knows what is on offer he’s hardly going to say much else. The fact he’s reported to mention mid season rather than completely rule a move out suggests negotiations are possible. Or maybe my good mood at Lage going has lead me to be overly optimistic…

I think there's some confusion here. I don't for one second think this is because Coady was moved on, that is fundamentally part of being a footballer. No one involved in the game would have an axe to grind over it.

There has obviously been something Lage has done or said specifically to Coady.

He's obviously done something really out of order to Coady, you don't get players families having repeated pops at you without something completely out of the ordinary happening. It isn't a simple case of being moved on as he's not in his plans. Boly refused to play for him, Saiss thinks he's a cunt aswell.

I read somewhere that Coady said, "I thought there was something wrong when he had me training with the kids from 1st training camp".

He never said that. He just said something didn't feel right on day 1 of pre-season and knew he wasn't going to be 1st choice anymore and didn't enjoy the summer at all.

Maybe Lage came in, saw we had a close knit bunch of players, of which Coady was the leader and thought he'd break the bunch up to stamp his authority.
Whatever happened It was an absolute disgrace the way Coady was treated and a massive mistake on a footballing level.
