With Spurs the main purpose is to prevent everyone going to the tube after the match.
They dedicate one end of the ground to craft beers and have bands playing after the match,not sure if it works or not.

Our fanzone is ok, not enough bars / bar staff though and beer is generally average.

Depends what you ant from a fanzone, if you want it to act as an alternative pub (not sure why anyone would want that when there's loads of pubs just a 10 minute walk away) then its ok (certainly don't see why it would need more staff I've never seen much of a queue).

But if it was designed for keeping young kids entertained/hyped for the game etc its awful!

They got rid of Wolfie's Den and pointed at this as being the alternative but for younger kids (who perhaps need these 'extras' to the matchday experience to keep them engaged) its rubbish.

Matchday experience really has gone down hill for kids.

Just a concept idea so never getting off the drawing board for the Molineux Quarter bit. Needs heavy investment from the Council, Wolves, the Uni and some outside funding.

Some good ideas on it, such as the bridge over the ring road rather than the subway.
Not so sure on the tent thingys, will presume the person putting the drawings together was bored.
Poor old Asda turned into Student Accommodation (unless some of those buildings are bars/restaurants and a Hotel. For a City, we have a shite and limited choice of hotels)

I was under the impression jeff said borrowing for infrastructure was off the table as the priority was investment in the first team?

This is just the council putting their City vision out there as there plan includes a lot of areas. I'm sure there are ongoing discussions between Council, Wolves and Uni but they are not seeing that vision come alive anytime soon

Correct on the latter as it's based on govt funding. That isn't happening anytime soon. Ditto Fosun funding.

I think it was "spare money" goes on first team and academy before the ground, but in the athletic interview he definitely said that the interest rates make it impossible

It's like the Liverpool/Everton groundshare idea in Stanley Park and several of Everton's failed relocations (Kirby etc). Millions spent, months or years wasted and consultants the only beneficiaries. If you can't afford something now, it's highly unlikely you'll commit to the same project further down the line. It will be different, whether thats design or price led, so it makes no sense to scope stuff if you have no intention of doing anything.

The University has just announced its scrapping 140 courses too, so its unlikely they start splashing reserves of cash elsewhere.
