Molineux Extension

Just curious - is there a trend towards bars and food courts within modern football stadia, and if so do they get much use outside of matchdays?

The WV1 Bar in the North Bank is used for Comedy Clubs, tribute Bands and private hire but not as a regular bar that is open every day

Is it something that clubs think about when building/upgrading their stadium? It could help their community focus, or it might be more trouble (and money) than it's worth.

I don't think the clubs want the hassle of daily use fixture. They are moving more towards trying to get the punters in early on a Match Day though with bar facilities and fan zones.

It was certainly something Spurs had as an important part of their new stadium.

The set up at Spurs is superb and hopefully something Wolves look at when tarting up the Stadium.

Until this year I never really used Molineux for drinking but started to go earlier as Pubs were getting manic and then battling through the Steve Bull queue. We have upped our game in terms of choice so if they improve the facilities to a similar level of Spurs I would consider using the club a lot more.

I'd happily drink at the ground if the beer and facilities were good enough.

Spurs have got Beavertown and Arsenal have Camden.

Got a few levels to go at Molineux to match our London friends

Quite enjoyed getting a pint in the NB pre match with Kenny and DW last couple of home games. If they could increase the range then I'd be more than happy to be there an hour before kick off

I'm not that fussy really (I'll have a bottle of Kingston if it's that or standing at the bar in the RL for half an hour) and Stu doesn't drink that often on a matchday anyway - and we've both gone down the Bovril road on occasion. In fact don't think we've lost when we've done that...

Our fanzone is ok, not enough bars / bar staff though and beer is generally average.

Im getting some Bovril in for the 19th then! Just need to employ someone who has had a heavy bang to the head and can't work out what change to give from a £10 note when the bill is £5....

I knew Spurs had Beavertown (jammy bastards) but didn't know Arsenal had Camden. Yeah we're light years from that yet but looking at how supermarkets are stocking some mad selections these days I can see a lot of stadiums following suit sooner rather than later.

Settled then young man. Pre-match Zoom call and a Bovril it is

I like it but it looks very much like a 90s Wimpy.

We're blessed in the NB, we have loads of space to have a drink up there. Other stands - less so.
