Pleased with Jiminez off as no point smashing him into the ground.
Yellow is fine for going in at that speed, just not a straight red for meI don't think Boly was a red, daft tackle though and deserved a yellow and a stiff talking to by both the ref and by Nuno. Sterling is a diving bastard but so is Salah, Jota, and plenty more.
Traore is on for Jiminez for the second half - need to do something different (& he is)
Not worth just persevering with what we were doing
The rules talk about challenging from the side with excessive force. He doesn't challenge from any side it's a loose ball which Silva chooses to run towards. Boly's force isn't excessive either - appropriate for what he was trying to do.
Not at all. Just depends on the direction, if you're coming straight on to the ball then it's very difficult to hide the studs but if you swipe across the ball then you can easily meet it with the top of your foot. Then you have to ban going to ground completely then as it's a physical impossibility to tackle going down and not show your studs

The rule (taken from FA website):
Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.
