Loan Watch 2022/2023

"Slide-rule" is one someone will have to explain to me.

Don’t forget
Liquid football,
He must have a foot like a traction engine

Rulers ( dunno what the Americans call them) that slid, extremely accurate, engineers used them to design stuff pre computer and calculator era.
There’s you tube videos if you want to be really confused

I always thought "slide rule pass" referred to a pass that was slid in behind the defender for the attacker to run on to with their starting position being in front of the defender. It had to be like that, hence it being a rule.

Never realised a slide rule was a thing itself 😂

That'll be my inner mediocre regional football journalist coming out.

Coming up:

- 30-yard piledriver
- Textbook header
- Slide-rule pass
- Daisy-cutter.
Ryan Giles' 'cultured left foot' should get plenty of airings. Fond of a 'marauding run' too.

Tenacious in the tackle. Couldn't see mentions of Alex Rae in the last few days and not think about that one.

They have Peterborough again in the league on Saturday so will be interested to see if he keeps his place.

Assist as well, although it is against a pub team. Can't hurt though

I'll argue they are worse than a pub team. Defence was AWOL. agree it can't hurt the lads confidence though.
He's going to come back like a Ronaldo... :D
